“Michael somethings wrong!” Ashely screamed with panic in her voice. She heard as Michael’s loud footsteps ran up the stairs. She looked up from what she was looking at and her eyes landed on Michael’s and the terrified look that came upon his face when he seen her confirmed that something was extremely wrong. “We got to get you to a hospital.” Michael said. Michael gently helped Ashely down the stairs and into his car. He jogged around the car, got in and drove off to the emergency room. They arrived to the emergency room fifteen minutes later. Michael got his self out the car then carefully helped Ashley out. They walked slowly up to the double doors once inside Michael asked to see an OBG-YN. They got Ashely situated in a room to wait for the doctor. “Hi I’m Dr. Daniel. What brings you guys to the emergency room?” “There’s something wrong with the baby.” Ashely said. “How many months are you? Dr. Daniel asked. “One month.” Ashely replied. By now she had tear stains down her face. She just couldn’t understand why she couldn’t bear a child. That’s all she wants is to have a baby. But it seems like every time she try’s something seems to go wrong. “Well were going to do a sonogram and check to see what’s going on.” Dr. Daniel’s said in his best reassuring voice every. ‘’Go ahead and lift your shirt up.” Dr. Daniels said. “This is going to be cold.” Said Dr. Daniels. Ashley have never felt this nervous she just hoped and prayed that her baby was okay. She looked over at a quite Michael. He gave her a hoping smile. “Alright let’s see.’’ Said Dr. Daniel while moving the stick around. There’s supposed to be a heartbeat Ashly. “Why isn’t there a heartbeat.’’ She asked the doctor. Ignoring what she said Dr. Daniels called in two other nurses. “We have to get her in the surgery room ASAP!” Dr. Daniels shouted. Ashley looked at the doctor’s face for answer but he simply gave a worried look. She looked over at Michael who just as confused and scared as she was. After an hour in surgery Michael started panicking. No doctor or nurse came out to talk to him. He didn’t know what was going on in there. He didn’t know if his wife was okay or if his unborn child was okay. He felt so helpless he didn’t like feeling helpless. After another twenty minutes the doors opened and they were wheeling out a sleeping Ashley. Michael shot out his seat. You’d think he was in danger the way he jumped out the seat. As he approached her he noticed something was different about her. She no longer had the baby bump she once had. He was devastated he just couldn’t understand what they were doing wrong. He couldn’t show Ashley he was this upset over it. He had to be strong for the both of them. “When is she going to wake up?’’ Michael asked the nurse. “The anesthesia should wear off in about twenty or so minutes maybe less.” The nurse responded Michael just simply nodded his head. “What happened to are baby?” He questioned he couldn’t help the fact that his voice cracked. The nurse looked at him with sympathy. ‘’She had a miscarriage.” Answered the nurse. ‘’But how and why?” Asked Michael. “Miscarriages is a very common type of pregnancy loss.’’ ‘’But it also seems as if your wife isn’t able to keep the baby until a whole 9 months. It’s called infertility.’’ The nurse explained to Michael as best as she could. ‘’The doctor will be back in here to fully explain it to you guys.’’ The nurse said before she was called out to go assist another patient. After another couple minutes they were on their way. ‘’Ash?’’ Michael asked. He was trying to see if she was okay. ‘’Yeah.”’ Ashely answered never looking away from the window. She looked so distraught. ‘’You Okay?’’ Michael asked concerned. ‘’ Yeah I’m fine.’’ Replied Ashely. Michael drove up their driveway and helped Ashely out the car. They made their way up the stairs and into bed. Michael pulled Ashley into his chest. ‘’I love you.’’ Michael stated ‘’No matter what happens I will always love.’’ He added ‘’Even if I can’t give you a baby?’’ Ashely said on the verge of tears. ‘’Even if you can’t give me a baby.’’ Michael said while kissing the top of her head. The room grew silent as Michael laid their listening to Ashely weep and after a few minutes he heard he snoring lightly. Letting him she was sound asleep. He looked over at the clock that read 12:30 A.M. He quietly got of bed and threw on some jeans and a black shirt with his Jordan’s. On his way to the car he called his friend Andrew to meet him at the club. Michael walked into the club and made his way straight threw the bar.
