The surface of planet Norana was comprised of desolate jungle, imposing, crooked trees that lurched menacingly, and grass 4 feet tall, rarely disturbed and swaying lightly in the winds that seemed to last forever. The air was cold and reserved, as if it was holding back secrets from the foliage. However, the forests peaceful exustance was blemished by the presence of a relatively small spacecraft lodged into the ground, strangled by the twisting vines and withered roots that entwined the rear end of the ship which protruded from the ground like a large metal fruit. There were three thrusters on the back of the ship, two of which were smoking, and a sparking section of the pylon engine was exposed, and observed by a man who stood contemplative in the tall grass. This man was almost two metres in height, with a lean yet sturdy frame, and he stood with the air of a military man, despite wearing a grin that Betrayed his worried thoughts. His face was soft around the edges, with a light stubble and sharp green eyes accompanied by a large gash passing through the right side of his face, noriwly missing his eye, and hair that naturally flung itself to the side. He wore something that resembled a beaten, scratched and dull 6-4 Pilot's uniform, though it was missing several pieces of plating on the stomach and legs, with a unique jump kit that seemed fictional in its design, featuring 4 jets rather than the usual 2, and several dials and exposed wiring.
Beside the man, a hulking titan pushed the trees out of its reticule. It had the cockpit and visor of a vanguard class titan, yet its design featured lots of exposed wiring, a core almost sticking out of its back and beefier arms and legs, with an odd backpack under its Titan Core. The titan also peered at the smoking spacecraft, and turned to the man, who was clearly a Pilot, asking in a dry robotic voice resembling that of an adult male, "Hunter, your ship's core appears to be damaged. You have do not have many opti- "
"I know my options, Blitz. I'm just considering." The Pilot, Hunter's voice had tones of playfulness in it, but seemed worried under the surface. "I could use your core, but it can only get us so far. And we're in the outer regions of space. I don't think the next planet will be any more friendly."
"But Pilot," Blitz responded, "this planet is almost entirely deserted. We are very unlikely to find a core here."
"We would, if the 6-4 didn't have a base here. So the plan is to try and buy one, and if that fails, the guns come out." Hunter seemed nonchalant, despite the weight of his claims. Blitz squinted his reticle in skepticism, replying, "But the 6-4 are well armed, and dislike you after you sold their information to Slone. I hope you remember what happened when they tried to capture you."
"Yeah," Hunter chuckled, peering down at the pilot helmet in his gloved hands. It was a standard pulse blade helmet despite the painted cross over the right eye and the (also painted) toothy smile over the respirator, and giant ugly gash strewn over the visor, courtesy of a close encounter with a Ronin Titan. "Good times. Y'know, I'm surprised the Militia hired me after that. I assumed the 6-4 and Militia were in kahoots or something ."
"Me too. But we must go if we're to collect a new battery."
"You're right, for once." Hunter flung his pointed finger in a random direction, exclaiming, "We head for the stars and beyond!"
Blitz then corrected Hunter when he picked up the core signal in the opposite direction.

The journey through the forest began smooth, where trees were overpowered easily by Blitz's large metallic limbs, and scaled with ease by the swiftness of Hunters jump kit, but as The duo delved deeper into the forest, cliffs became sheerer, trees grew taller, and the sky began to dim as the day passed. The wind howled, and by evening, the both Pilot and Titan grew weary (or rather, whatever describes how a robot gets tired in Blitz's sake). The duo decided to camp out in a small clearing guarded from the moonlight by a tall canopy that made room for Blitz, and Hunter sitting upon the shoulder of his Titan. The cold grew thick and fast, and as the stars began to blink overhead, drizzling rain gathered in clumps atop the canopy leaves and fell around the pair, while Blitz kept watch over a sleeping Hunter. The growls of unknown beasts seeped through the trees, but nothing made itself known, and as the hours passed, and the horizon began to peer over the trees, a scream resounded, shrill and piercing, jolting Hunter out of his slumber. Blitz spoke first, "Pilot, it appears someone is in danger."
"Not my business. Unless..."
"Unless what Pilot"
"Unless it's a 6-4 Squadron we can use as a bartering system!" Hunter's voice grew with childish excitement as he realised how lucky he was. The Pilot grabbed a Pulse blade from a pouch in his shoulder and slammed it into a nearby tree, and observed as orange outlines became visible through his visor in the distance, of what appeared to be a human figure, and several unknown creatures surrounding them. Blitz thought for a second. "There appear to be several unknown entities. Do you-"
"Have a plan? Yes, but I ain't got weapons, only arc's and smokes, so I better hope this squadron likes the taste of electricity" and so hunter bounded off, jumping from one tree to the next and building up speed as he made his way to the sound of screaming.
Blitz squinted, and sat back onto the ground with a fair idea of what Hunter was going to do."To my knowledge humans can't eat electricity. I hope my knowledge stores are intact."
