After spending eons high in their tower Dawn was beginning to question if he and Gwen's mate would ever come. They were one in the same, after all so they would be Dawn's mate as well. He and Gwen shared a single body, mind, and soul, occasionally switching who was 'in control' also altering their appearances(sort of a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde situation). Two sides of one coin, intertwined for life. Like best friends but you share a body. And a you share a soulmate, being as you have the same soul. But Gwen, being the alpha and leader of their pack has decided to bury them in work instead of even thinking of finding a mate. Dawn sighed, watching as Gwen paced around the cold damp floors of the entryway to their small cave home. Stork and Fhera entered swiftly without knocking they looked as if they had just gotten out of a rough fight but weren't injured. Fhera stepped forward, bowing her head slightly before beginning to speak.
"Gwen, the bears are circling the territory again, they seem to be trying to get our salmon supplies before their sleep in the winter. They're getting desperate, attempting to get the fish more often and attacking some of us to take it. I fear that our growing population in the area is disturbing the eco system. I believe we should go to a place with more fish, I propose west of here following the smaller river the fresh field with more resources that is uninhabited at the edge of our current perimeter." Fhera concluded confidently, keeping her head slightly bowed as she awaited an answer. Gwen tapped his finger to his chin, thinkings.
What do you think?
He asked Dawn, pensively.
I know your concern of it being too open, with the large hawks and other birds.
Gwen stiffened slightly, remembering the awful incident where a child had been swooped up by a bird while shifted in their wolf form.
But,
Dawn continued gently,
The crops would grow well, and the birds do not nest in the prickler trees that surround the clearing there. Another incident like that is unlikely, but an incident with these bears could be worse.
Gwen nodded strongly, having made up their mind. He cleared his throat, Fhera and Stork looked to Gwen immediately. "This is a good idea Fhera, you are clever I am proud of you. We shall begin preparations to move in the morning and settle by dusk, then a celebration!" Gwen smiled wildly at his friends and trusted pack mates. They all began to hoot and make loud howling and barking noises and dance joyously in celebration of settling their weeks long issue of bears attacking their home and their growing community.
A feast began not an hour later, and music filled the air as well as the stomping and clapping and singing and howling. The fire burned bright late into the night until they all fell asleep. The next morning they packed all of their things, their homes were easily dismantled and reassembled as they were nomadic and moved quite often to help live with each other and with the world. As they began their journey they shifted into their large dire wolf forms, allowing them to carry their things easier with the added strength, helping them move quicker and with fewer breaks with their strengthened speed and persistence. Gwen walked in the back of the group, Fhera leading the way with protectors on the outside and weak, young, or pregnant walking inside. After walking for a few hours at a steady pace, Gwen sniffed the air and decided they would rest for a moment and take a drink. "REST" He called out evenly, making sure he was heard. Everyone broke formation and began stretching, shifting, getting a drink or something to eat or simply sitting down. Gwen climbed up to a rock to observe while everyone rested.
Now we have a moment of peace-
Dawn began, but Gwen cut him off.
We are very much busy right now. I do not have time to think of a mate, we are moving to a new territory and we must-
Gwen began promptly, Dawn huffed angrily.
We need time to think about us! About our needs! About what we want! I'm not just doing this for me you know we need this. You know that. You know we don't need to be scared anymore...
Dawn's voice changed to gentle towards the end of his rant, he could sense he had hurt Gwen's feelings, as he had hurt his own. Long ago when they were younger their original pack had been...awful. They weren't treated as equals, there was no respect no dignity and violence everywhere.
Gwen and Dawn couldn't take it, not after what their pack did to them without consent. It was too horrible to think of. Dawn sighed, Gwen remained silent.
I know it hurts. It hurts me too. Every day.
Gwen flinched at the words
But it's time to be happy, Gwen. Let us be happy. It's okay.
Dawn sent a purposeful warm sensation through Gwen, like a hug. Gwen sniffled and sent one in return, just then a rustle and an unfamiliar scent came from the left of the pack in the woods. Gwen scratched the stone twice loudly, getting her packs attention and focused pointedly at where the rustle came from. The pack protectors stepped in front of the others, shifting and preparing for a threat. They held their position. "Come out, loner. You know as well as I we can smell you." I spoke evenly, hoping this would be a peaceful stranger. A figure stepped out of the brush, a small wolf, honey colored and brown patterns I had never seen and eyes of soft moss bedding. Gwen and Dawn both were swooned by this stranger entirely and could only think one thing,
My mate
My mate
"I wish no trouble, alpha. I simply wish a drink from the river. I will be no problem to you or your pack." The strangers voice was gentle and slightly course, they smelled of no threat. Gwen thought for a moment before nodding, "Then do as you please," Gwen said before jumping down landing in front of the smaller stranger. They locked eyes, "What is your name, honey?" Gwen asked in a low tone, standing slightly over the other wolf. Their tail wagged slightly although for just a moment, almost making Gwen smile,
It's them it's them it's them
Dawn babbled in the background of Gwen's mind excitedly, he could just tell.
They are cute.
"Um.. it's Honey you actually guessed it already haha..." Honey said sheepishly, looking anywhere but into the looking alpha's eyes. They were incredibly flustered, having never met an alpha before much less one that was so...
He's ours! He's our mate!
Bea shouted joyously inside of Honey's mind.
Will you hush? I am trying to make us not look like an idiot!
Honey said, frustrated. Bea huffed and fell silent.
Honey stood there anxiously, feeling flustered. Gwen leans to the side of Honey's neck slowly, making Honey stiffen and twitch their ears. Gwen sniffed lightly before backing up a couple paces and scratching the ground with his paw twice, immediately the pack resumed what they had been doing before as if nothing had happened at all. Honey hadn't seen a pack so organized and stable before. "I would like to accompany you to get a drink as well, my pack and I have been traveling for a while and will set off again soon." Gwen said, trying his best to sound nice and polite. "Oh okay sure. Um, what's your name?" Honey asked as they began to walk to a less crowded part of the river.
"I am Gwen, may I ask what you're doing alone out here? There are some bears a few hours from here that have been desperate for food lately, so I would recommend you exercise caution if you are heading that way." Gwen said, babbling slightly on accident. "I am actually in search of...my mate. I um..I wasn't raised in a pack I raised myself you know? So I didn't know what a mate was until recently when another pack took me in for a while. But..none of them were my mate. So...yeah.." Honey trailed off, looking out at the water thoughtfully. Gwen couldn't help but take the moment to stare and admire Honey, so gorgeous, so thoughtful looking. They quickly changed the subject, as the pack members stole excited glances at their alpha and the new stranger, happy for the two. They got along well and anyone could tell they liked each other already, Fhera nudged Stork playfully. "Look at that, I guess getting away from the bears isn't the only good thing about moving huh?" She winked, making Stork blush. "I'm glad they're getting along, but they've only just met. Let them settle first Fhera." Stork said anxiously, hoping the alpha wasn't listening to their whispers, though she doubted he would mind. Fhera sighed impatiently, "Well I hope they get together soon and live happily ever after! You know Gwen and Dawn deserve it. Everyone does." Fhera said sweetly, leaning into Stork making her flustered.
Over the next coming weeks Honey stayed with their pack learning about pack relationships and traditions as well as getting to know each pack member and Gwen and Dawn. Honey took in all the information and wanted to learn even more, and if they didn't already have most of their history in writing I'm sure they would have to tell Honey stories for hours before they would let you go without asking anymore questions. They ran through the woods and river and played and taught each other things, they grew closer by each passing day.
Honey lay in the field watching the setting sun through the trees, Gwen came and sat next to them. "Tell me you aren't going to sleep out here again tonight? I've a comfortable bed set for you and everything Honey, must you sleep in the field?" Gwen held Honey's chin gently as he spoke to make them look at him, they smiled lazily and replied, "I like sleeping out here under the stars, why don't you join me? It's more comfortable than you'd think." Honey asked sweetly, leaning closer to Gwen's face knowing it would make him blush. For a moment his eyes flashed icy blue before returning to the rich brown color Honey recognized.
It reminded them of something they'd read in one of the many books they had borrowed. "I haven't ever...let Bea 'out' before..I never knew how." Honey said suddenly, turning away from Gwen feeling a little embarrassed. He held their hand gently, "Would you like me to show you how?" Gwen asked, he could feel Dawn getting excited at the idea of meeting their mate.
Don't scare them, Dawn. Just be cool.
Gwen said, knowing sometimes Dawn can be...a little too much. Dawn grumbled but agreed to control himself. Honey nodded, looking like an adorable puppy.
Gwen smiled, it was going to be hard keeping Dawn from being really overly affectionate with them. "Okay," Gwen said exhaling deeply, "sit across from me." Once they had settled into comfortable positions, the moon was beginning to rise. "All you need to do is focus on them, let yourself relax and it will come naturally to you." Gwen spoke confidently, he had done this many many times, it was harder to keep Dawn in sometimes rather than draw him out. In an instant Dawn was in control, his eyes were icy blue and his hair was white, his features were the same but sharper including sharper teeth and nails. Dawn grinned and gave a small wave. "Hiya, I'm Dawn." Dawn said grinning goofily, Honey smiled sweetly, "Heya." Honey said sheepishly, this felt really intimate to Honey. Dawn's cheeks turned pink as he gripped his pants tightly in his fists,
They're so damn cute Gwen, why can't we just kiss them? Cuddle them? Make them ours?
Dawn whined
Because we have to make sure they like us too and this isn't the right moment ding dong! Don't mess this up please!
Gwen scolded. Dawn sighed.
"Take a deep breath sweet Honey. Focus on Bea." Dawn said, giving Honey's hand a squeeze. They nodded, still blushing and closed their eyes. Their eyes shot open with a small gasp, Dawn's jaw dropped. Their eyes were a beautiful golden color and sharp teeth and nails, soft skin and slightly bigger eyes. Dawn closed his mouth and pretended to work his jaw like it hurt. "You look...um...wow..." he didn't say anything else for a moment, but it's not like Bea heard him anyway, they were infatuated with their body, looking at their hands arms legs and hair, touching and feeling almost everything.
Dawn looked away, clearing his throat. Bea snapped out of it looking at him suddenly as if they didn't even know he was there. "Sorry...I've never been..well I suppose you already know." Bea said quietly, it was I lent for a moment before Bea spoke again. "There is not much Honey and I know, but what I know, is that you and Gwen mean something to us." Bea said simply, facing the breeze and taking a deep breath. Dawn didn't know what to say, he was enwrapped in their movements and voice and everything about them. They took his breath away. Bea turned to him, tilting their head slightly. Dawn couldn't take it anymore, he passionately crashed his lips onto theirs, how sweet they tasted and how they both loved it.
They held each other for what felt like hours until the stars had long sense came out and they had grown stiff. But it did not matter. Dawn chuckled lowly, "Gwen is worried that us kissing will make Honey upset. What do you think?" He asked Bea, which only wound up Gwen more. Bea giggled, tracing their finger on Dawn's shoulder. "Oh they have been infatuated with the both of you sense we got here. We both have." Bea says, winking playfully. Dawn grins and gently flips them over so that he was over top of Bea with her back to the soft grass. He smiled mischievously, "Lets let them come back to us in this situation now that would be funny." He said grinning. Bea smiled and nodded biting her lip slightly knowing how Honey can be, this was going to likely be a lot of fun. They closed their eyes and switched.
Honey came to and instantly squealed then covered their mouth with their hand. Gwen was on top of them with one hand on each side of Honey's head firmly pinning them to the ground. Gwen startled and began to move off of Honey but they held his arms in place, he looked at Honey puzzled then Honey pulled his face in and kissed him. It was gentle and sweet and lasted only a second, but instantly he plunged back to them for more and they began to make out. They broke away panting, "are you sure you want to do this? Both of our bodies will change half shifted, you know that right?" Gwen asked concerned, he didn't want to have Honey or Bea to be hurt or upset. Honey nodded firmly, Bea glowed in their eyes for a moment agreeing as well. "We're ready, we know you. We know what you are to us." They said, touching his face gently. He nodded, smiling nervously, truth be told the last time he did this it wasn't on such pleasant terms, but he was safe now. Safe with his mate and his pack nearby. Everything was okay.
They began making out again, picking up the pace until they were both desperately heated and wanting more, then almost without them noticing they half shifted, they do this naturally during sex to merge both sides of the wolf together for the experience. Finally one for a while. Making their bodies partially take on their wolf features, the fur, tail, snout, claws, and ears all come out, while still retaining a relatively 'human' shape. They momentarily stared at each other, "You're so beautiful." They say at the same time, making them both blush and laugh. They begin kissing again, taking off each other's clothes until they were naked. Gwen started kissing down Honey's neck towards their chest, giving kisses and gentle bites along the way driving Honey mad as they wished so badly for more until finally he got to their waist and took their length in his mouth, making Honey moan. Gwen bobbed his head up and down, squeezing and smacking Honey's thigh and ass while he did making them moan and whine even more. Gwen pulled off of Honey suddenly with a small pop noise. "My turn princess." He growled, sitting up and presenting his much larger length.
Honey stared for a moment at how big it was before attempting to put it in their mouth, almost fitting half of it on their first try. They immediately begin moving up and down, covering with their hands what they couldn't fit in their mouth. Now it was Gwen's turn to moan, which made Honey go even faster, they loved hearing him moan. Honey squeezed their eyes shut as they tried to fit more in their mouth, gagging but the gagging only brought them more pleasure, Gwen pulled out of their mouth looking slightly worried, but Honey looked up pleadingly with their mouth still open. "Oh does baby want it all?" He asked smiling, Honey nodded sticking their tongue out a little more.
This drove Gwen crazy, he shoved his cock in their mouth, making them gag but he just kept going holding onto the back of their head. They held onto his thighs with their hands squeezing tightly as they gagged and moaned on his dick while they touched themselves. Suddenly Gwen pulled Honey off his dick and got down on his knees, he laid his shirt on the ground and commanded Honey to lay on their back on it, they did without question. He pushed their legs up and began rimming and fingering Honey, making them moan wildly. Gwen kept going until he asked, "Are you ready for my cock baby?" In a low growl. Honey, a pathetic beautiful mess under him nodded helplessly, "please give it to me." They begged, and Gwen obliged, slowly sticking the tip in their ass, they gasped and gripped the grass under them, tearing some of it up entirely.
Gwen started slowly making sure to hurt Honey as little as possible, but once they had adjusted they couldn't stop moaning. Gwen was slamming into Honey relentlessly every moan and scream just making him crave them more. Honey dug their nails into Gwen's back sides thighs arms anything they could grab even his chest. After hours of passionate fucking Honey sat on top of Gwen's lap while he pounded into her, they were moaning wildly and he was too, "fuck I'm gonna cum baby!" Gwen growled, making Honey so excited she squeezed around his dick making him groan in delight, "m-me too~ ah please don't stop!" Honey squealed and that sent Gwen over the edge he slammed into them as hard as he could until they both came.
After twenty minutes of laying there their forms shifted into human and they went ti the river to clean off. They splashed in the water and had fun, though Honey needed to be carried after what had happened but they didn't mind despite Gwen and Dawn feeling extremely bad about it. They slept entwined in each other's arms that night and late into the day. The rest of the pack made sure to leave them be, as they could all guess what happened, of course nobody said anything. It was normal and they were happy for their alpha and Honey. They decided to have a celebration that evening to welcome Honey officially to the pack and as their new alpha.
It has been a while sense the pack has had two alphas and they were glad Gwen would have someone to share the responsibility with so he wouldn't die overworking himself. "At the ceremony you'll have to preform a song." Gwen informed Honey, who looked horrified at the idea. "I can't sing in front of all those people! I'm terrible at singing! And what would I sing?!" Honey said panicking, they had never done anything like this before, they felt dizzy just thinking of it. Gwen held their hand gently, "Don't worry dear, its not about whether or not they like it, it's your song. It's about you and what brought you to us. That is what the song is supposed to be about." Gwen smiled gently, easing all of Honey's trouble away. "You'll know what to sing, it'll be alright." He said stroking their cheek. He stood up, "I have to get things ready, you write that song!" He calls as he hurries off to prepare, they sigh and smile.
Just before the performance Honey pulls out the guitar they had found scavenging a couple desolate cities far off east, tuning it just right. Gwen lands a heavy but kind hand on their shoulder, "you got this!" He says giving their shoulder a squeeze before stepping off the platform. Honey's teeth chattered with fear and anticipation, they were kind of excited but mostly scared. They took a deep breath shook their body all over and then walked out on stage.

Song in the YouTube video up top is what they sing
Fuck you I love that song
(Obviously it isn't my song it's from adventure time the person doing the cover has their social in the end of the video!)

A crashing of barks and bowls of approval fill the clearing as Honey finishes, they are stunned at the positive feedback but quickly smile a crooked genuine sweet smile that makes Gwen and Dawn swoon and jump up onto the stage to pick them up and hug them.
