tommy sauntered across the glistening plains, admiring the smell of fresh pollen and blissful thoughts. the broiling wrath of the sun slowly disappeared over the horizon, causing stars to shine brighter than ever upon the small town. the moon's shine stared daggers at tommy, watching down on him like a controlling mother.

eyes studied tommy's movements from behind a tree trunk, following his every move. he didn't expect the blonde to be here, especially this late. whilst debating on his next move, blue, lustful
eyes stared in the brunette's direction.

the brunette panicked, turning his back towards the spruce wood, praying tommy hadn't spotted him. but, to his dismay, footsteps grew louder like music blasting from a distant concert. the brunette sighed heavily, shutting his eyes tightly, regret bubbling up inside of him.

" boob boy?! the fuck are you doing here? " tommy spat, though his tone was softer than usual. the sudden presence startled the brunette, causing him to jump a little.

" uh , just . . . standing here. " ranboo stuttered out, turning more and more flustered by the second.

" and fuckin stalkin me! " tommy exaggerated, jokingly throwing his hands up in the air.

" okay , maybe i was! i just didn't expect to see you here. " ranboo ran a hand through his fluffy hair, slowly approaching tommy. " but i'm glad you are. "

tommy nervously laughed, his breath quivering as ranboo placed his hand against the blonde's cheek, pushing some loose strands behind his ear. the blonde's face suddenly reddened, causing ranboo to quietly laugh.

ranboo's gaze averted downwards, eyeing his lips, then making eye contact again. tommy's breath hitched, opening his mouth to speak but no words came out.

" may i? " ranboo spoke softly with a barely audible voice.

tommy only nodded, internally cursing himself out. ranboo leaned closer to tommy's face, smiling as the gap between their lips filled up with love and passion. it felt like driving through the city late at night, blasting sweater weather at full volume with the windows down, or meeting your long term best friend who lives across the country, and hugging them like your life depends on it.

ranboo pulled away first, finally realizing what he just did. tommy noticed the puzzled look spread across ranboo's face, smiling in reassurance. the blonde wrapped his arms around the brunette's shoulders, pulling him into a tight hug. ranboo returned the embrace, placing his head atop of tommy's.

tommy smiled into ranboo's chest, managing to get out a muffled phrase.

" i love you. "
