December 1, 2005

It was Saturday and I was getting ready for Spencer's and I date this afternoon. We decided to wait until the weekend to have our date so on Friday I was too distracted to get much work done.

I was going to head to Spencer's apartment but he insisted that he picked me up because 'it's not right for a lady like me to waste my time driving to him' and he said that in a bad British accent.

When I woke up at 10:24 (I wanted to sleep in) ate breakfast, brushed my teeth, took a shower, and then went out to get some new close. I got a cute sweater that had dark greens and browns on it, I decided to pair it with black mom jeans and Converse for our date.

So at 4:30, I was all ready to go out, we were heading to go to a museum. It was Spencer's favorite and I always wanted to see and go to the local museum.

Right at 4:45 Spencer came knocking on my door. I opened it to reveal a nervous Spencer shifting on his feet, he was wearing a purple sweater with khakis and black Convers.

"You look lovely this afternoon my dear." He quickly, looked at me while smiling and blushing.

"You look quite handsome yourself." I grinned and walked out the door while hooking arms with each other.

We walked to the museum while chatting and catching up with each other.

Upon arrival, Spencer paid for both of our tickets with me arguing with him stating that 'he already paid for the two other dates and I should pay.' But he refused and paid anyway.

Walking in, Spencer pulled me into his favorite exhibit. He was telling me about every single fact he had in his brain about whatever attraction we were next to. But frankly, I wasn't paying attention to his rambles, as much as I love to hear them I was looking at how passionate he was about every single time he talked about his favorite fact.

Spencer pulled me into an observatory room with a Galaxy-like painting on the walls and roof and the room. It had our solar system hanging from the roof as well, along with pictures of our earth and explaining the layers but Spencer already had it covered. By the time we left and you almost knew every single fact Spencer could give me about space at the time.

It was 6:23 and we've been here for an hour and a half and the museum was about to close. So we headed out and walked downtown to see if any dinners were open. There was one, A small downtown diner that was open 24/7. Perfect.

We headed in and an old lady with curly gray hair and a blue apron greeted us and told us to take a seat anywhere and she'll be right over.

We headed into a booth right next to the window. Sitting down, I saw Spencer wasn't making eye contact with me anymore.

"Hey Spence, you good?" You asked, he was quiet for a minute but then looked up and answered me.

"Look, Y/n, I have something I wanted to tell you for a while now. You're very nice, beautiful, smart and funny. I really, really like you but I'm not good at reading social cues so if you don't like me or want to stop hanging out with me just say something because if you don't I want you to be my girlfriend and I don't want you to be with me then regret everything because you didn't like me from the beginning." He rambled, I wanted to say something better than what I am going to say but all I could hear was 'girlfriend' so I had to know...

"Are you asking for me to be your girlfriend?" His breath caught his throat before saying, "Yes, I like you." My smile could not be even compared to the sun on how bright it was.
