- Harper's POV -
This bitch really thinks I'm gonna help her, pfft girl puh - lease! She can handle her own problems! I think shaking my head.I'm playing soccer with my bestie Max, they're really good at soccer so most of the time I lose. But today was different, I was actually kinda winning for once. I was in the middle of the field with the ball in my possession, running towards Max's goal. Max was on my tail as I approached their goal.
This is it I am finally going to beat Max! My combat boot kicks the ball hard, it flys through the air and is about to head for the goal when someone walks in front of the goal.
The figure falls to the ground. " Seriously, I was about to finally get a goal!" I shout, running over to retrieve the ball. That's when I finally notice who the figure is. It's Mia.
I pick up the ball and pass it to Max who has, by now, made it to my side. I bend down to her level, smirking as I ask " What are you doing down there ya idiot?" And Mia replies to my question with an unamused look plastered to her face as she asks in return " Are you gonna help me up?" " No" I say in return turning to face Max as I continue folding my arms. " What are you doing here anyway?" I continue.
"U-umm ok w-well don't g-get mad... b-but.... I need your help!" She stutters, blurting out the end of the sentence but after my many years in her company I can make it out and the second I do I feel my temper rise.
"What are you even doing here? This is the section seven playing field." I say whipping my head around to display my rage filled eyes and floating raven black hair, the short strands drifting, as if in a trance. I cast an intricate spell as a small rock appears in the palm of my hand.
I lift my arm in a stance ready to throw the rock at the girl cowering on the ground, but the sound of laughter in the distance stops me in my tracks and slowly I lower my arm back down to my side, gripping the rock in my palm hard as my knuckles turn white.
Tears prick my eyes as I frantically look around only to find the field plagued of other people just as it was before. I wiped my eyes as the laughter rang in my ears swirling along with the voice of Max asking questions, thoroughly confused. I snapped out of my trance, the wicked laughter fading. I ignored Mia's questions and turned straight around to Max.
"Sorry I don't know what that was" I lied, panic clear on my face but Max knew from experience not to push me any further. Mia continued asking if I was ok but I stomped angrily back to the middle of the field, taking the ball from Max as I walk past them and placing it in the middle of the field, ready to start a new game.
