after school, sophia was ecstatic to find nikki sitting on the family couch when she came home from picking up groceries.
the two sisters immediately were engulfed into each others arms, swaying back and forth as they laughed about nothing. just glad to be back in the other's presence.
their parents had locked themselves in their rooms to hide from the gossip and laughter that took over their house now that two of their daughters were home.
sophia and nikki sat on the couch as they caught the other up on everything in their lives that they hadn't mentioned in their facetime calls.
"i still can't believe you accepted his apology. he literally slashed your tires. tops up to fez for kicking his ass."
sophia cringed at the memory of alex's black eye. "he's not gonna be able to see out of that eye for a month." she looks down and checks the time on her phone, "i gotta start getting ready."
"for what?" nikki looks up at her sister as she stands up from her spot on the couch to stretch her limbs. "halloween party tonight. wanna come?"
"party with a bunch of teenagers? yeah, no thanks i'm good here."
sophia laughs grabbing her hand and pulling her up, "help me get ready then." she says before dragging her upstairs.
since she didn't plan on wearing a costume, she decided on a last minute schoolgirl outfit with clothing pieces she found from her closet.
she sat in front of her vanity and finished up her makeup as nikki stood behind her with a hot curling iron in hand doing her hair.
sophia put her makeup brush down and grabbed her bpd medication opening the pill bottle.
"you eat already?"
sophia grabbed her water bottle and swallowed the pill with a small nod. she looked down and picked up her phone when it started to vibrate.

sophia checked her makeup one last time in the mirror of nikki's car. "you staying over at fez's tonight?"
she closed up the mirror and leaned back in her seat shaking her head. "no. i'll come home a bit early to watch movies with you."
"aww you love me." nikki teased placing one hand briefly on her heart before she put it back on the wheel.
