1977: 1st one is very brief, its 16 year-old y/n crushing on remus at Hogwarts during her 6th year and wondering if he even knows she exists (he does).

1981: 2nd one is the first Christmas y/n and remus spend after the death of Lily and James (very emotional, slightly angsty).

1993: 3rd one is in present timeline, them being at Hogwarts :')

December 1977, Hogwarts.

Christmas at Hogwarts was truly the most spectacular way Y/N had ever seen the holiday.

In her small hometown, there would be lights everywhere as soon as the month of December came, but Hogwarts was on a scale that couldn't compare. She watched from her dormitory window Hagrid yank the biggest tree she'd ever seen over his shoulder slowly into the castle. It was incredibly snowy out, and for a second, she wondered how Hagrid managed to find a winter jacket that big. He himself, along with the tree, and pretty much the entire Castle and grounds were covered in a thick layer of fluffy white snow. Nevertheless, Hogwarts maintained a homey and even cozier appearance if it was possible while it slowly got buried under heaps of falling snowflakes.

She decided to join the other 6th-year girls, her friends, for some dinner.

She took the long way down to the Great Hall, wanting to walk through as many decorated scenes as possible. Across most hallways, were twinkling garlands that contained real-life tiny fairies, and some of the suits of armor had been enchanted to sing carols.

Y/N passed by a hallway that had both, humming along to the song that a suit of armor was singing. The sun had set so quickly in the span of a few minutes that the windows were now dim with little natural sun shining through, making the twinkling fairies the main source of light. The hallway glittered in warm white light, the shadows of the lights flickering onto the walls.

Y/N let herself sway slightly. For a second her head went completely void of whatever anxieties she was facing and she let the cheesy, tacky spirit of Christmas joy fill her up.

Out of nowhere, she felt her body ram into another, causing her to open her eyes sharply. They focused and readjusted in the dim light, recognizing Remus Lupin, a boy a year older than her that was often with Lily. A boy that Y/N found achingly adorable, yet never had the guts to hold a conversation longer than a few sentences at a time with...

"I'm so sorry, are you alright?!" Remus apologized profusely, placing both hands on Y/N's shoulders as if he wanted to make sure she wouldn't fall over even after she had caught herself in her steps.

"Yeah, yeah don't worry about it!" Y/N said breathlessly, looking up at him.

In her years at Hogwarts, Remus wasn't always this tall. If anything, she could've sworn at one point around her 2nd year that they were the same height, even with the age difference. He must've grown a lot in the recent years. He was now tall, long and lanky almost, his slim figure hidden under his black Gryffindor robes.

"Y/N!" Remus smiled, recognizing her. "You doing well?"

"Yeah, I'm okay. And you?"

"I'm good, thanks, thank you. Um, how are your final examinations going?"

"They're going good!" Y/N nodded. "Yeah, I had, um, Transfiguration yesterday and I just have Defence last thing Thursday. How about you? I heard your finals are made to mimic N.E.W.T difficulty."

"Yeah!" Remus answered, running his hair through his hair. It had grown slightly longer since the start of the semester, sticking up a little more. "It's not too bad though, I wouldn't worry about them at all if I were you. They're not too different than the normal ones."
