*SPOILERS!*

This is set at the end of the Eve of the Daleks and overlaps with the ending scene on the Tardis. This oneshot explores what might have happened if that scene had continued. The first part of this story is the last couple of lines from that scene (Which belongs to the BBC). Yaz's POV and the rest of this chapter are my work.

Yaz's POV

"Aww, Look at you..." The Doctor says walking further into the control room of the Tardis, leaving Dan and I stood by the door marvelling at the now fixed room.

"It's so much better." She states, continuing to examine the rest of the room, her fingers gently tracing the control panel as she circles the large, complex desk.

I step further into the large room pretending to be amazed by the beauty of this machine while the Doctor continues to ramble on to it. I love it when she does that. To be honest, half the time I don't even understand what she's saying but that really doesn't bother me. There is something about the way she speaks, the way you get lost in the floods of words, each one with a beautiful northern accent. But hers isn't like anything else I've heard before, there is something magical about it.

My thoughts fade back into reality just as she finishes.

"Quite mysterious really" She says looking to the large orange crystal in the centre of the console and then over to me. Her eyes meet mine, gently locking together as I realise that I've been staring.

Shoot, I'd better think of something to say. Quickly. One thing comes to mind but I know what she'll say. Maybe worth a shot though?

"What did you mean" I say quickly, not leaving time to change my mind. She looks over to me intriguingly pulling the cute confused face that she uses when you've caught her attention. "When you said your actions were catching up with ya?" I finish, leaning in a little closer hoping for an actual answer rather than her just talking around it.

She looks mildly surprised, as I can see her trying to come up with an answer.

"Nothing" she says normally, clearly trying to be done with it . I shake my head slightly, disappointed, yet not surprised with her lack of an answer.

"Nothing" she repeats, half whispering and now looking at Dan smiling. "I don't remember. I say lots of things, we all say lots of things we don't mean." she says, standing up and looking at Dan lightheartedly.  Dan gives her a knowing look.

"And some we do." He adds, moving his gaze over from her to me. I give him a slight smile before looking back towards The Doctor who immediately changes the subject. But there is something in that moment. Something small that just makes me feel like I'm ready, I have to tell her how I feel.

I hesitate for a second as the Doctor pulls down the large grey lever before proceeding to run around the Tardis pressing buttons, causing sparks to fly as the vworping noise started.

"Stop" I yelled over the chaos. The Doctor quickly pulls a lever as the machine goes silence once more.

"What is it Yaz" She asks, a look of confusion and worry plastering her face.

"I-I um" I start, trying to get the right words out, but instead spewing up utter nonsense "Can we talk - In private." I say nervously, but still a little sterner than I had intended.

"Um, Yaz I don't-" The Doctor starts slowly

"It's Ok, I'll go" Dan interrupts, smirking slightly at me. " I wanted to explore this place some more anyway."

I don't look away from The Doctor, but I hear his footsteps slowly trail off down the vast corridors of the Tardis. I felt sick in the pit of my stomach as it suddenly dawned on me what I was actually about to do. I feel slightly faint as I struggle to stay standing.

"Can we sit down?" I ask, moving towards one of the foam chairs that line the outside of the main console area. The Doctor nods slightly as she places herself down beside me. "So Doctor, there is something I wanted to tell you...." I bring my eyes up forcing them to meet hers. "...and it's Ok if you don't feel the same, or if you want me to leave for a little while..." My eyes fall to my lap. "....Or forever, if it's really that bad..." I pause as her hands reach for mine and grasp them tightly.

"Oh Yaz" she says, her voice barley even a whisper. "Nothing could ever make me feel that way about you."

A silent tear falls down my cheek as my eyes well up with hundreds more that are ready to fall. I look back up at her again. "Doctor, I don't know if that's true." I whisper as more tears fall.

"I think I have to decide that for myself, don't you think" she says reassuringly. "Now, what is it you wanted to tell me" She asks

"Doctor, the thing is IlikeyousomuchandIwanttobeyourgirlfriend, and and andIhopeyoufeelthesameaboutmetooor.."I sob as it all just starts falling out until the Doctor interrupts me. "Shh" she places a finger to my lips and it feels as though my jaw has been wired shut.

"I like you too Yaz" The Doctor smiles shyly as my brain explodes with fireworks and celebrations all set off by her, her liking me too.

There is a silence between us. Not an uncomfortable silence. Just a sweet, happy silence. A silence that you can just sit in. There is no need to talk, no need to leave, no need to do anything more than to just be there. With her.

The silence is broken as the Doctor shuffles down on the chair before curling herself into a ball and resting her head into my lap. I start to run my fingers through her short blonde hair as she just lays there happily, the quietest I have ever seen her.

After awhile she pipes up.

"So Yaz, I kind of have a confession to make" She says in a slightly playful, yet slightly nervous way. "Hmm" I mumble, encouraging her to continue. "So I may have already known that you liked me..." She starts. I bury my face in my hands. "Oh my god, was I really that obvious!" I groan into my hands. "Oh no, no!" She says. "It wasn't because of you" she continues.

"What? How did you know then" I ask, completely lost.

"Well, Dan may or may not have told me." she finishes slowly

"He did what now!" I Yell

I swear I am going to kill him. I gently lift The Doctors head off of my lap before leaping up and launching myself towards the main hallway of the Tardis.

"Yaz! Wait!" The Doctor yells behind me, causing me to stop in my tracks. I turn back to look at her. " You can't go in there unarmed" she yells from behind the Tardis console as she throws unwanted objects out of her way. "Ah, there we go!" she says popping back up again and throwing a large, fully loaded Nerf gun over to me.

"I thought you didn't like guns" I mock her as I catch the gun.

"Oi!, Only real ones. And I'll have you know that this Nerf gun is the only reason that we didn't have to put up with Ryan's awful music all the time!"

"Ok, ok!" I say putting my free hand in the air to signal my surrender.

"Now, I pin him down, you shoot?" She asks

"You got it!" I say as she grabs my free hand and pulls me down the corridor towards Dan's room.

In that moment, only one thought is in my mind.
