A/N: New Year, New story!  ENJOY!

DAY 1
OF MARCH

JENNIE'S POV

What's more worse than being in a hospital bed? Like imagine lying down for a day in almost a year already. The hospital has become my home now. This is where I have spend my year.

I miss going to school, making friends, eating out, going on libraries, watch festivals, exploring new things, and more!

But this year, it turned upside down. I was needed to be admitted to hospital, and it seem like I will never get to be discharge unless I get well.

My illness? I have Congenital Heart Disease. For the past years, it was never this bad actually. I can still do what I want, but when I turned 17, that's when it became worse.

I needed a donor quickly, but there were none. The available hearts wasn't healthy, or they aren't compatible with me. I'm slowly loosing hope.

Right now, I'm lying on my hospital bed thinking of the possibilities of my survival when someone knocked on the door.

"Goodmorning Jennie." It was Dr. Chaeyoung. She's my doctor since I got admitted here. She's very kind and very pretty too!

"Goodmorning Dr. Chaeng," I looked behind her and saw my nurse, Seulgi. She was waving her hand to me. "and goodmorning nurse Seulgi."

"Goodmorning Jen." She greeted me back. She went to Dr. Chaeng's side with a chart on her hand while my doctor checked something on me. She checked my heartbeat and all.

"How are you feeling today Jennie?" Dr. Chaeng asked as she put her stethoscope on her pocket.

"As usual, I feel like out of breath, tired, sleepy, and everything." I said lowly.

"I promise you, I'll heal you Jennie. Just wait alright? If ever we have there a heart donor, I'll be the one to perform the surgery for you." She said and smiled at me. "You'll be able to come out here healthy Jennie. Just trust on God and yourself."

"HWAITING!" Seulgi said and put her fist up encouraging me.

"HWAITING!"

"We'll get going then Jennie. I have a new patient and I'm glad her room is just next to yours." Dr. Chaeng said while making their way out. "Goodbye, see you later again."

I waved goodbye at them and waited until the door was closed.

So there's a patient next door huh. I'm gonna check it later.

Lying down for hours is boring, Irene, my sister accidentally took my phone home now I'm stuck here just staring at the white ceiling. Or maybe I should just sleep and wait for her.

Sleep it is!

I don't know how many minutes or hours I slept but I woke up with unnie sitting on a chair beside me while scrolling through her phone.

"Hey." She put her phone down as soon as she saw me awake. "Did I wake you up?"

I shake my head no, "No you didn't." She nodded and took her purse from the table.

"Here, sorry I took it accidentally." She handed me my phone, I thanked her and opened it.

But as time goes by, I got bored. I can't just let phone waste my time. I was planning of going out.

"Unnie, I wanna go out, can you help me with the IV?" I asked her and she nodded standing up getting the bag of IV and put it on the rack with wheels so I can move freely.

"Want me to come with you?" I shake my head no.

"I can handle."

I went out my room and just in, someone came out the room next to mine which Dr. Chaeng said where her other patient is located.

She's tall, blonde, beautiful brown doe eyes, plump lips, prominent nose, and—

Okay Jennie, did you just check her out?

"Umm, hi?" I shyly said. She smiled at me cheerfully. She looks like a cheerful person.

"Hello!" She is also holding her IV bag too. "Are you going somewhere?"

I nod, "Ye, I wanna go out of my room. I'm so bored here just lying down."

She chuckled, and it was music to my ears. I feel my heart beating rapidly. Oh my God, heart what's wrong?

"Wanna go to the rooftop?" She asked me, I haven't been on the rooftop, maybe I'll grab this chance.

"Sure!"

We were walking on the hallway, the nurse were bowing down whenever they see us, no maybe when they see Lisa. I don't know why.

"What's your name?" She asked me.

"Jennie, Jennie Kim." I answered. She smiled while nodding. "How about you?"

We're now on the stairs that'll lead us the rooftop.

"Lalisa Manoban, or just in short, Lisa." She answered which made me gasped.

Manoban? Wait, this hospital is named after that surname.

"Yep, we own this hospital." She said like she's reading my mind. We're now at the rooftop and feels free to be here. The wind through my skin. I miss this.

"If you don't mind, why are you here?" She asked me.

There was a bench here, so I suggested that we should sit down while we talk, or get to know each other.

"I have heart disease, and they said I only have a year left. But I'm still hoping one day, someone will donate a heart for me." I said trying not to cry.

"Ahh, I hope you find a donor soon. I'll pray for you." She said and gave me a reassuring smile.

"If you also don't mind, why are you here?" I throw back her question.

She pointed her head, "Got a tumor here," then she sighed, "I may not live. No chance." She said while plastering a smile on her face like she already accepted the fact that she doesn't have any survival rate.

I don't know what got into me but I hold her hand, squeezing it. "Trust yourself, Lisa. And most of all trust Him." I said and pointed up.

She chuckled, "how many months or years have you been here?"

I put my hand to my chin, rubbing it as if I'm thinking. "Hmm, 8 months? No I think it's already 9 months."

"You?"

She fix her bangs that was disheveled because of the wind. I find it cute, she's pretty, pretty cute.

"2 years.." she said and went quiet.

She's suffered a lot, and I hope atleast she can still run around the world. Experience more things.

"I think we should go, my nurse might be looking for me already." She said and stand up and waited for me.

Lying on my hospital bed smiling widely because of a certain blonde girl.

Love at first sight?

It could be, I never felt something like this before. I felt so inlove, I may only have known her a couple of minutes, but I can assure I'm inlove.

"Okay, you're so weird." Unnie said showing a disgust face. "Why are you suddenly smiling there?"

I chuckled and turned my back on her. I smiled thinking about Lisa. The way her hair flew because of the wind when we were at the rooftop. She really is indeed beautiful.

I hope we come out this hospital together.
