Hermione wanted so bad to hex the girls that were tormenting her. She hadn't seen them since primary school but apparently, they hadn't changed. Sonia Daugherty, Samantha Mcgrath, and Anna Henry were living nightmares. They were her parent's best friends' kids and we're starting with them for most of the summer. Their parents were nice enough but the three gremlins were unbearable. Hermione had never been gladder that she would spend most of the summer with Ron's family. Ron, the name brought a smile to her face. Over the last week and a half of dealing with them, she had used the prospect of spending two weeks alone with Ron and then spending a couple of weeks with both Ron and Harry.
The three girls tormented her in primary school. They used to call her names and they even turned most of their classmates against her. They used to yell insults at her about her teeth and hair. She had never really told anyone about them, their parents were best friends and Hermione couldn't bring herself to tell them about the bullying.
"Hey, book worm what are you doing," Sonia laughed cruelly. The girl was objectively beautiful, her long blond hair and perfectly done makeup looked good, Hermione thought bitterly. Samantha had straight brown hair and light green eyes, Anna had shorter black hair that curled at the ends.
"No of your business," Hermione snapped back not having the patients to deal with the three of them. The twins often called her book worm but it was different from them, the twins meant it as more of an inside joke. They meant it as an insult.
"Oh come one Granger with that attitude you'll never make any friends- oh wait you don't have any," Samantha barked. Hermione's blood boiled at the statement.
"I have friends," Hermione defended.
"Oh, then where are they," Anna smirked. You would get expelled if you hexed them- You would get expelled if you hexed them, she mentally repeated.
"They live somewhere else. I'm going to stay with them most of the summer. I won't have to stay here with you three," Hermione said back
"Oh Hermione your parents already sent you away for most of the year can they not stand you so much they have to send you away in the summer too," Sonia scoffed walking out the door with the rest of the gaggle.
Merlin give me strength, she thought. A bird quickly swept through the window, the ball of energy hooted happily in her room. She recognized it as Ron owl and reached out to it.
"Come back here you little thing," I laughed caching the small bird. I slipped the letter off his leg, I opened the letter thankful for a distraction.
Dear Hermione,
How has your summer been so far? Mine had been really weird, everything has been so hectic since summer started. I feel like there's always a tornado going off somewhere. Though that might be because Fred and Goerge are allowed to use magic outside of school now (Merlin help us all). I was wondering if I could come over for a day to hang out.
I know you're going to stay with us in a week but I'm going stir crazy here and feel like I might kill Ginny or the twins if I spend another moment in this damn house. I can understand if you don't want me to come over. But if you do say no just understand that I will be sending you letters non-stop till you get here.
Love Ron
Hermione had never been so happy to receive a letter from Ron in her entire life. She ran downstairs bulldozing through the three harpies before getting to my parents. They were talking to Mr, and Mrs. Daugharty, Mcgrath, and Henry.
"Mom, Dad, can Ron come over for the day tomorrow?" Hermione asked excitedly. Dad looked aghast for a second, he was quite aware of his daughter's crush on Ron and always went into protective Dad mode. Mr. Granger's brows furrowed as he raised an eyebrow.
