chapter 1

(no one's pov)

Here she was sitting against a wall crying because no one wants to play with someone with no parents.

She was getting up to leave when someone called out to her "hey, are you ok" the person asked.

Y/n turned to the voice to see camilo madrigal the reason for the ceremony "I'm fine" y/n said as she started walking to the door out.

"Where are you going" camilo said.

"I don't belong here no one likes me" y/n said.

"What do you mean, why don't people like you I don't see anything wrong with you" camilo asked.

"All the kids, they all don't like me here all because I don't have a family" y/n almost shouted, she started tearing up again.

"That isn't a good excuse not to like you, i'll play with you what's your name" camilo said, y/n looked at him shocked.

"My name is y/n and, why would someone as great as you want to play with me" y/n asked.

"Why are you making yourself sound that way, c'mon let's dance" camilo said taking his hand in front of y/n.

Hesitantly she grabbed his hand and was dragged to the middle of the room, people stopped what they were doing and watched as the camilo madrigal was dancing with a girl the kids were envious.

"Everyone's staring camilo" y/n said.

"Let them stare, just don't pay attention to them it's only you and me" camilo said.

When they were done it was then time for camilo to see his gift.

He looked nervous and looked around for his new friend to see her right by the stairs she smiled at him and gave him a thumbs up, it's the least she could do for him.

He smiled back at her and calmed down and walked up the stairs.

When he touched the door knob the door glowed and showed camilo and some other people, he thought of the first thing that came to mind and shape shifted into y/n.

"We have a new gift" abuela said.

Everyone cheered and checked out the room.

(Y/n's pov)

When I entered his room it was huge camilo came up to me and smiled "how do you like it, it's nice right" camilo said

"It's more than nice it's amazing" I said

"C'mon let's dance" camilo said, and we started dancing again laughing while people watched the 'adorable' scene.

Then it was time to go home I was about to start heading home too when I heard someone calling me "Y/N!!!"

I turned around and it was camilo "what do you need camilo" I asked.

"I wanted to asked if we could play tomorrow" he asked.

"Hm...sure i'm not busy" I replied.

"K see you tomorrow" he waved me bye and I did the same and walked home.

(and next day)

I woke up kinda happy i didn't have feed the donkey's for money today and i can play with my friend i walked outside to see him already there leaning on a building, when he saw me he ran to me and hugged me.

I of course was shocked I haven't been hugged since I was 3 before my family died when our village was massacred, but I hesitantly hugged back and pulled away a second later.
