Camilo's pov

I jolted awake as I felt the presence of someone in the room. My eyes darted around the room.  No one was there.  I swear I'm going crazy. I slid out of bed and walked out of the room, I wandered around the house just to make sure no one was there. Just as I began to believe I was alone I saw the front door was cracked open...

I inched towards it. I opened the door just enough to where I could see outside the house. There sitting on the grass not to far from the house was a girl. She was looking at the stars. Her hair blew in the soft breeze. It was gorgeous. She wore a dark brown skirt and a sugar cookie sort of colored shirt tucked into the skirt. I took a moment to admire her.  Taking it all in.

"Hello," I started with a smile. She looked over her shoulder at me and returned my smile.

"Hello," she said.

"What are you doing out here?" I asked.

"I wander around at night and I thought this view was breathtaking." She said looking back at the stars.

"It really is." I said looking at the midnight sky.

"So," I started walking towards her and sitting beside her. "What's your name?"

"y/n, yours?"

"Camilo."

"Nice to meet you Camilo. I assume your a Madrigal?"

"Uh yea, why do you assume though?"

"I'm not from here. I just pick up what I hear some people talk about during the night."

"Where are you from?"

"The woods."

My heart stopped. Was she the one that was watching me? No way. I can't be face to face with such a pretty girl and her be a stalker, I guess everyone has their flaws.

"Sorry for scaring you earlier.." she started. "I didn't mean to scare you or make you feel uncomfortable."

"Like five minutes ago earlier or this morning?"

"T-this morning.." she said with hesitation. I nodded.

"Hey, care to join me and my family for breakfast?" I asked with a smile.

"I'd like that." She said with a soft smile. I felt my cheeks heat up a little.

"Oh how old are you?" I asked.

"16." She responded. Hey only a year older, I can work with that.

"Well we should probably get some sleep." I said standing up and offering her a hand to help her up.

"Oh I forgot to ask. If your a Madrigal what's your gift?"

"I think it's better to show you. You know what they say a picture is worth a thousand words." I said with a smile. I shapeshifted into her and watched here eyes light up.
She reached and hand out and touched my-  well her shirt.

"Damn this is awesome," she said with a bright smile. She took her hand off of the sleeve and sighed as I shifted back to myself. I stared into her eyes shining in the moonlight, they really were beautiful. "Well I'll see you in the morning." She said waving at me making her way back into the forest. I smiled to myself as I went back to sleep.
