Im working on my own tonight, great. Not only is it terrifying enough to work on making robots at night, but it's another to do it alone.
Now don't get me wrong, some robots are scary at times but, not these ones, they're cute and even better, they can age similar to us humans, or well kinda, I haven't finished the coding and growth components in the shell yet. So in turn, the drones age quite slowly.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Time set: Midnight
It got dark several hours ago and the dim light of surrounding ceiling fans drove me half to sleep. I had almost managed to fall asleep, that was until I heard a loud banging from down the work hall. Whatever it was, was in the Disassembly district, where they keep the "Other" drones.
I headed down the hall towards the district's door. No one I knew would have been here right? I asked them before they left...
*The door creaks open*
I stared into the dark room, the only light being that of the Nantes and lights that the Disassembly drones had. I took a slow look around the room, trying my hardest not to miss anything important and infact I found something that seemed to be the answer to the issue at hand. Far in the corner, one of the lights on one of the drones had several red lights on, some of its parts had fallen to the floor as it sat draped back farther into it's stand. I approached the drone and picked up a few of it's parts. As I turned to face the drone I was struck to the ground, dropping the parts that I had.
"You know friend, You should really learn to stay out of other people's business, oh well, have a good night." The figure said, as she grabbed the tail that I had dropped and jammed it into my chest, releasing the nanites slowly enough that it kept me alert. The figure grabbed a few of the reactor books and ran off.
"I cant see, why is everything so blurry?" I was too tired to call for help and even if i did, nobody was around to help. I was to die alone in a locked up room, filled with the one creation that got me to this planet. The last thing I heard before my eyes went dark was the core siren, it was over after all.
