"I know that was so much fun!" Y/B/N said as they got onto the subway. It had been raining and of course, a couple of college students in New York can't really afford a taxi so here they were. Little did Y/N know her life was going to change.

She took a seat and pulled out a book and began reading. She loved reading but was such a slow reader and often got so bored.

"You know that's really going to hurt your back" She looked up at a very good-looking boy. He had gorgeous green eyes, the type one would write poetry about, and beautiful brown curls. "I know, it's kind of a bad habit." She realized she was leaning over her book and quickly straightened her position. "What book are you reading?" he asked "Dune" she held up the cover "Although it is kind of slow and confusing, I'm determined to read it. What about you?" "You won't believe it but I'm reading Dune too" he held up his copy and smiled. Everyone smiles, but none of them make you feel the way his did. She instantly felt butterflies.

The subway started slowing down and doors opened and in came an old lady. Y/N got up and offered her seat to the old woman and held onto the railing. She looped her hand around it and proceeded to read.
"Please, sit here." The brown-haired boy stood up and offered her his seat. "No, I couldn't, please" "I insist" she was going to give in when the subway stopped again and the lady who was originally sitting next to the boy got up and left. She let out a slight chuckle as he took his seat and she sat next to him.

"I'm Timothee," he said stretching out his hand for her to shake, he tried not to think about it too much but he wanted to know what her hand would feel like in his. "I'm Y/N," she said shaking his hand. A pretty name for a pretty boy.
"So you read a lot?" she was glad he was continuing the conversation because she was a little shy before someone got to know her. "I mean I try, I'm a slow reader but I really enjoy it. Plus it's a nice use of my time since all my friends are in relationships and I get bored when we hang out together" she lightly laughed and pointed at her best friend and her significant other making out. He laughed "Yea I know what that feels like, but it's such a powerful escape you know?" "Exactly, but it's made my standards unbelievably high." "I mean people should meet the expectations of such a beautiful girl." This caused her to look at her feet trying to hide her hot cheeks.

"So how are you liking Dune?" she asked determined to keep the conversation going. "I mean I agree with you, it's quite slow at first but I'm starting to really like it now, and I need to read it for my job." she assumed he was maybe a journalist and had to review it for his job or whatever but thought she'd ask instead of assuming. "So, what do you do?" "I'm an actor" He leaned close to whisper it in her ear "and don't tell anyone but I'm in the movie adaptation of Dune."
"Are you okay?" he asked and she realized her mouth was open in shock. "Yea, sorry. That's just so cool, and I don't know why but when someone says actor I can only think of older people." she lightly chuckled "Okay okay, I got what you're saying." he laughed and acted offended by the remark "I mean, on the bright side, I called you young" "Well, I'm 23 so yea if you didn't think I was young, that would be weird." he flashed her a dorky smile.

He was so cute and I'd love to get to know him better over coffee or drinks. I don't usually feel this way so fast about people, but of course, he was charming and funny.

"What about you, how old are you?" he asked her, "I'm turning 22 soon" "Hey, this might be really random but would you like to get lunch or coffee sometime?" How could she say no? He'd read her mind. "Yea, I'd love that," she said smiling at him. "My stop is coming soon so can I have your number so we can set something up?" she said yes and gave him her number and he soon left.

She couldn't stop thinking about him for the rest of the day and told her best friend everything as soon as their boyfriend left. She wasn't sure if he really was going to text her but was being optimistic anyway. After having dinner and watching some New Girl, she went to bed and as she drifted off to sleep, her phone buzzed.

*unknown number* Hey, It's Timothee.
