Chapter Two: Surprises and More Surprises

Leah's POV:

Oh crap

I clench and unclench my cold hands as I walk towards the science lab. Thoughts rush through my mind. What if it gets awkward? What if I say the wrong things and make it akward? What if he doesn't like me? The last on dawns on my as I open the cream-colored door.

I take a seat on a lab chair at the back of the class. Then Kieran walks in almost a second after. Was he following me? Anyways, IS HE WALKING OVER TO ME?

What do I do? Do I act natural or crazy? Ugh a message to God above, please me on my side for a little while!

"Hey" he says

"Hey" I say back

Suddenly my phone buzzed in my bag. I couldn't resist the temptation so I quickly opened my bag and pulled out my phone. On the lock screen was a text from an unknown number. The text read;

Hey Leah ;)

Who is this?
I text back

The wonderful guy sitting next to you ;)

I looked to my right and saw Betty the nerd secretly picking her nose and I wrinkled my nose in disgust. Then I got another text that said:

Not her, to your right

So I looked to my right and there sat the one, the only, Kieran.

I texted back saying:
How'd you get my number?

I have my ways ;)

We should be texting we could get caught.

Ah just live a little! Listen how bout we play a game.

The teacher will find out.

Do you think Mr. Myers would know I mean just look at him!

I looked over to the teacher and saw him at his desk playing on his phone. I couldn't help but laugh at that.

I smile at this joke and I catch him smiling at me.
