Chapter 2- Sneaking out.

....................🎵 IT'S TIME TO WAKE, IT'S TIME TO WAKE UP🎵.
Uzi/daren- AAAAAAAHHHHHH.
We fall off the couch and rub our heads as we pick ourselves up.
Uzi- Seriously, that's your alarm.
Daren- What, it gets the point across, ugh, what happened.
Uzi- We binge watched like, 20 episodes of "bnha", ate popcorn and drank rootbeer and Dr pepper until we passed out from getting soda drunk.
Daren-..........that's a thing.
Uzi- There's a reason it's called root beer, now, let's go.
Uzi straps the railgun to her back, grabs the keycard and puts on some snow goggles to help see in the snow.
I grab a soda, down it, toss the bottle into khan's room (karmas a bitch) and put on my glasses.
Uzi- Hey, how your arm repairs coming.
Daren- "veitnham flashbacks"..............uuuuuuuummmmmmm-

" 7 months ago"

I had built myself a new arm, it looked like a regular arm and I was very confident.
Daren- Alright, four arms, here I come.
I turn it on and it raises, it then turns to me and makes a fist.
Daren-..............ooooooohhhhh bolts.
" five minutes later"
Daren- GET IT OFF, GET IT OFF, NO, THAT'S MY FA- AAAARRGGHH, NO NO NO NO, THAT'S MY AREA, DON'T YOU (HITS A HIGH C).

"PRESENT"

Daren- "look of terror" not great.
Uzi, not wanting to know the story, stiffens as we quicken our pace, after a few minutes, we reach the first door.
Daren- Let's do this.
Uzi grins as she swipes the card, we step forward as the door opens........to run straight into khan.
Daren/uzi- OOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHH SH-
I drop my phone and it causes my phone to do the most embarrassing thing in that moment.
Phone- 🎵I told ya home boy, can't touch this, woahohohohohohohohohohoh, stop, hammer time🎵
I grab a hammer and smash my phone, then look to see khan glaring at us.
Khan- Young lady, where would you two be going that requires you to leave the bunker.
Uzi- We werrrrrrreee.........GOING TO MAKE OUT OUTSIDE.
Daren- "GOES WIDE-EYED, MOUTH OPEN AND SLOWLY TURNS TO THIS GIRL".
Khan-....................HAHAHAHAHAHAH, nice try.
Daren- "in-head" WHAT THE FUCK, WHAT'S HAPPENING".
Khan- I hope you two weren't thinking about sneaking off to get a part for your shotty railgun, last thing i need is to lose you like i-
" Goes into veitnham flashback mode" lost your mother to those monster as I watched them rip her guts out while she screamed in agony "end horror mode" so what's your real reason.
Daren- "eyed go tiny and horrified expression".
Uzi- Okay, I have a school project and I need to......check the hydraulics on the outer wall.
Daren- And I offered to help.
Khan's eyes go wide as tears stream from them.
Khan- MY LITTLE GIRL IS INTO DOORS.
He places a wrench into uzis hands.
Khan- That was my very first wrench, tightened my first bolt with it.
Uzi- "emotionless" gee, thanks, I'll cherish it forever.
Khan opens the second pair of doors to reveal his friend around a folding table playing rummy.
Khan- GUYS, MY DAUGHTER IS INTO DOORS.
Guys- WOO.
Khan- haha, this is my happiest day ever "takes sip from a mug that reads "best dad ever" on it"
Daren- that's a goddamn lie.
Khan- what.
Daren- uuuuuhh, I said I......feel like pie......yyyyeeeeaaahhhh.
Khan-.................okay.
He opens the last door, letting us out as we sigh in relief.
Uzi- That could have gone worse.
Daren- Going outside to make out.
Uzi- " REDDER THAN RED" I PANICKED AND MY HORMONES ARE ACTING UP, AAHHH, WHY IS TEENAGE HOOD SO SEXUALY FRUSTRATING.
Daren- " Does spit take from drink that appears out of thin air" WHAT.
Uzi- LET'S JUST GO.
I slap myself, trying to forget this whole thing as we head towards the tower.

"Corpse tower"

We walk past destroyed buildings and cars, it was a miracle that the buildings were still standing, I use my tail to brush over our tracks to make it harder for the du's to spot us.
Uzi- There it is.
Standing in its horrific, yet beautiful state, was the du's home, the corpse tower, since day 1 of their reign, every single drone they kill was added to their tower, making it bigger and taller, we walk in low and slow, scanning for drones.
Uzi- Got anything.
I use my prototype scanner to look around, but got nothing.
Daren- We got lucky, they must be out hunting, let's get this part and get out, don't need another run in with these fuckers.
Uzi- another?.
I take off my shades and show her the crack in the middle of my screen.
Daren- Whatever you've heard about these drones, it's watered down at least to keep you from knowing the truth about these things.
Uzi- What do you mean.
Daren- I've only ever seen two of them, the runts, never the leader, their sadistic, their crazy and they don't listen to mercy, you could be a newborn and they would crush your ass in a second.
Uzi looks at me in fear, I sigh and bend down slightly due to my extra few inches.
Daren- listen, I will protect you in there, I won't let them hurt you.
Uzi looks at me and smiles.
Uzi- thanks.
I nod as we head in, she goes for the pod while I check the edges, the faces of the drone with their last look of horror still imprinted, I feel my heart start to drop as I wonder if these were anybodys family from the bunker.
Uzi- So, what's earth like.
Daren- A shitshow, run by a species that doesn't know how to make something work, so they just do something and pray it works.
Uzi- Heh, glad you hate your old kind too.
Daren- I thanked god when I didn't have to be associated with that doomed species.
Uzi- You ever......miss being a human.
Daren- only for taste and touch, I miss drinking a nice Dr Pepper while eating some doritos and pickle chip dip while snuggled up in a blanket, enjoying the warmth as I watch smosh on YouTube, laughing my ass off.

A/n- yes I like doritos and pickle chip dip together, honesty, give me chips and I'll eat it with dip.

Uzi- GOT IT.
I turn around and run over to see uzi holding a green glowing component.
Daren- Awesome, now le-
Just then, the flap of wings and metal against metal brings me a flashback, to when I got my scar, I grab uzi and duck behind a pile of scrap as I let her mouth go.
Uzi- Are you n-
Daren- SH, their back.
Just then, with a thud, a D.U lands on the pod, it's wings bended down aligned with razor sharp blades, like my tail, it had a stinger on it, but this one was filled with corrosive nanobots, it drops a freshly ripped of head beside it as I look through a shard of glass reflection, I stare at it when it's eyes turn on to reveal it knew we were there.
Daren- SCATTER.
We both jump to either sides as the du jumps up and slams down, destroying our cover, uzi goes to work, preparing the railgun while I slash my claws with the drones, I then recognize the drone, it was the one who scarred me, I growl and wrap my tail around its leg, tipping it, only for it to spring up and slam me into the ground.
Uzi- Hey assh-
The drone shoots a laser blast a her, only for her to backflip and land in a fighting stance.
Uzi- "shocked" heh, guess pirating all that anime wasn't useless after al-
"SHING"
Uzi- AAAAAAGGGGHHHHH.
Daren- UZI.
The drone had jumped off me and stabbed it's tail into uzi's hand, it flings her into a wall and pins her to it, it raises it's tail, ready to kill her.
Daren- Hey c3po ripoff.
The drone turns to see me holding the railgun, uzi kicks it in the man spot and it let's go and turns in time to see me pull the trigger.
Daren- As my good friend uzi says, bite me.
I pull the trigger and the gun shoots out a beam of green energy that blinds me temporarily, when I get my vision back, I look to see the drone with no head.
Daren- it worked..........HOLY ROBOT JESUS, IT WORKS, UZI, YOUR A GENIUS.
Uzi- YES, TAKE THAT DAD.
Just then we hear a beeping coming from the drone, incredibly, it's head starts to grow back, uzi looks down and grabs a severed arm, just as the drone finishes it's repairs, uzi leaps over and slaps the drone, causing it's eyes to turn on, instead of a giant x covering it, it had 2 normal drone eyes, it looks down at uzi.
?- Did you just slap me with that hand.
Daren-.......................WHAT THE FU-
