I buried my daughter yesterday.
It is November seventeenth. Evelin died on November thirteenth due to lack of oxygen. She almost made it to the age of eight, two years longer than the 'best' doctors predicted. Her lungs finally collapsed after showing significant signs of detioration over the past two years. She cut off her supply of oxygen and refused to let me revive her.
She didn't get to say goodbye. I wouldn't let her.
I took her home to be buried next to mother. My sister insisted that I stay with her to recover from my grief. I nearly relented but I have responsibilties to attend to. I left in the middle of the night without any goodbyes.
I went back to the cabin and made sure to completely disappear this time. I won't contact anyone until this is over. It's safer that way. I've broken more laws than I care to admit. I don't want anyone else to pay for my mistakes. I was so desperate to give my daughter a chance at life.
The embodiment of my mistakes, masked as a small, innocent child, sits quietly in her room as I watch her from my computer. 'The Subject' is what I call her. She was supposed to be the miracle that saved my daughter from choking to death on her own failing body. Instead of exisiting as the intended empty donor body I created her to be, she became sentient and ruined everything.
Now what am I going to do with her? I could put an end to her mockery of life or let her out of the room I made her prison. Neither of those options appeal to me.
The Subject is not supposed to be here. This thing is stealing my daughter's life. It's her fault my daughter is dead. She doesn't deserve to live Evelin's life.
The Subject deserves to hurt.
