I strongly advise reading Jeff the Killer's backstory before this to get the full picture.
Liu and Jeff had a great relationship when they were younger. They were very close in age and got along well. Liu had always been known to be protective of Jeff, due to Jeff constantly getting himself into trouble.
When the family moved to a new neighborhood, all seemed well. The family could have a new start and Jeff wouldn't have such a bad reputation. This, unfortunately, was not the case. Though their parents tried to get the brothers adjusted, Jeff didn't comply.
He continued to rebel in school and at home which raised concerns for his whole family, especially Liu.
Liu wasn't the strongest kid, it worried him that his brother got into physical fights. He was afraid Jeffrey could get hurt and he wouldn't be able to help him.
-
When Liu had heard what happened. That his brother, his little brother, the boy he was supposed to be role model for, had beat up three people and threatened them with a knife.
He couldn't believe what he was hearing.
Jeff was known to respond to everything with violence. He thought it answer to everything. This time, this time he took it too far.
Liu knew that it was probably for a good reason, the violence. Never to this extent though, never to the point of threatening someone's life. He thought of what might have happened, what the boys did to his brother that drove him to that point. He'll probably never know.
What he did know is that he would do anything to protect his brother. Even it meant that Liu would have to take the blame.
He would protect him.
When the police arrived, the family was already in panic. Jeffrey had shown up bruised, causing their parents to worry. He told Liu what happened already, that the police would be after Jeff. That he would be taken away.
Liu had already made his decision. He was the one who did it, not Jeffrey. He would be the one taken away, not Jeffrey.
He'd protect his brother, no matter what.
Jeff yelled and screamed at his brother and the police officers as they took Liu away.
"It wasn't him! It was me! Please! I'm telling the truth! I was the one who did it!" Jeffrey begged as he tried to grab onto his brother.
Their parents stood there in shock as Jeff was pushed to the ground and Liu was put into the back of the police car. They stood there and did nothing. Like always.
-
Liu spent months in the correction facility. The other teens their made fun of him, how did some scrawny kid end up here?
While he was there, he heard what happened to Jeff through cards his parents sent him. The party, the kids, the bleach, the fire; all of it.
And it broke something inside of him.
That he was stuck here in this facility and couldn't be there for his brother.
Maybe if I could have prevented it... Maybe I could have stopped all of this... Liu stayed up thinking.
When he was released, he went straight to the hospital. Liu would spend many days and nights there. Keeping his little brother company. He cursed himself for not being there for Jeffrey. He cursed the police for not going after the kids.
He cursed all of them.
Months after the fire, when it was finally time for Jeff to return home, Liu was happy. He'd keep him safe no matter what. The damage those kids did to him would not change how he saw his brother.

Short StoryRecently, I have gotten back into Creepypasta. I've always liked Liu as a character and thought it'd be cool to do my own little spin on him. Please keep in mind that I have not read Liu's story in quite some time and this will be mainly based off...
