One morning Monday I was sleeping, I wondered to myself why my phone’s alarm was not ringing. As I tried to get up and reached toward my phone, I notice that my phone was completely dead. Drain out of energy, but how can it be drained out of energy when it has been connected to the charger and still is. I soon afterword’s figure out that the charger plugs in my phone wasn’t working. How can my phone not be working it’s a brand new smart phone, I kept telling myself but then I just remember something that my teacher told me week ago when we were talking about resources. What he told me was that “that now a day thing likes a phone, iPod, etc. They are just design to eventually break apart by themselves because that how they are design to do”. I asked “why would they do such a thing like that” and the respond that I got was “think about it, they want some sort income their pocket what a better way is there”. The problem was that they wanted some sort income in their pocket so they design it too eventually break apart and so that people just keep buying new one.
Frustration, anger is the emotions that are running through my arteries and veins. I am not happy, I am not happy with what they are doing, why hasn’t anyone done anything about this. My frustration and anger only reminded me that there have been people who had tried to do something but they were labeled as terrorist. The term terrorist means: an empty distinction design for any person or group who chooses to challenge the establishment. Terrorist…terrorist… suddenly started to laugh and said what terrorist? The only danger out there is the establishment for they have lied to us; they tell us everything that we wanted to her but never the truth. I had been such fool to believe that everything was peachy with system. To have such a great country where we live in democracy… it’s an illusion it’s all an illusion, I remember that last term when I was searching something that could help me with my, project industrial revolution I stumble upon something that would catch my attention. What caught my attention this one were “corporatocracy”. Corpratocracy is group corporations who control are government behind the seen. Is this the right thing? No but this is what we live in, “I none are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free” by Johann Wolfgang van Goethe.
I cried because my phone was broken and that there was nothing I can do. I cried because I bust my ass working in fast food restaurant just so that the phone that I bought with that money would only break apart four months later. I am no one I am not Mr. King Jr. Who had a dream where everyone treated as equal’s no matter if you were black or white. Mr. King Jr. made his dream happen. And I am not also “President Andrew Jackson who shut down the central bank that preceded the Federal Reserve, in fact his whole political was in commitment into shutting down the central bank.” Stating at one point “the bold efforts the present bank has made to control the government… are but premonitions of the fate that awaits the American people should they be deluded into perpetuation of this institution, or the establishment of another like it.”… His message was short lived and the international bank succeeded in building another central bank in the year 1913 and perpetual debt continued. Their message are strong what can a person like me do.
Waste…waste…waste is the problem. The answer was always in front eyes it just never clicked to me for all of this has just been a very long ride.
What can be done about waste exactly? How can it be done? There is no easy answer to say this but what we need to do is stop sending our trash to foreign country. We need to stop making other being responsible for the mess we made. Non maleficence’s states that we have an obligation not harm people, but yet we keep leaving our waste in foreign countries. Sure the country is going to let us pollute there land just as long as we pay them, but what about the people and the poor. Where do you think this people fit in? We been polluting their land their food source and cause them to suffer miserably… how this fit in non-maleficence does , well it doesn’t. It’s not fair that their legal rights and their natural rights are being violated. They have the right to be protected by law but where is the law, what is the law going to do for these people. Their natural rights are being violated to: life, liberty, and happiness. Is there justice? There is no justice because the bad out ways the good.
We have become ignorant of our actions. We don’t see how good we have it over here in U.S. we take everything that we have for granted, food, cloth, and waste. For example we stove our face with food we have our daily meals that we have provided for us but yet in foreign country like Africa there is many people dying of hunger. Cloth is important part of our society because fashion changes over time but have you thought where our clothes from, china is an example where our clothes is made labor is important key to production and in china there are people who suffer because of exhausting hours, there isn’t anything they can do about it because they can be easily be replaced. Then there is waste if it wasn’t for waste none of the other things would have happen in the first place. I used to think that just by recycling my trash I made a big difference but it is not enough, waste comes more from like air pollution, water pollution, etc. . . . Now think of this: what if we never send our trash to a foreign country? Where we would we be? What would have change? The answer is really simple to answer; our country will have a problem if we keep the rate of our consumption, our streams of water being polluted, our lands being polluted! Just because there is one down fall of keeping our trash on our land doesn’t mean that it’s all bad. Now imagine this: a change happening all around you just because waste never left our land, a society becoming more efficient, in waste management, reduction of foreign goods/products because of the demand of efficient durable goods/product. Since we would seek for efficiency, quality, and sustainability our production in organic food would increase the reduction of GMO’s food. Just because of this small shift our country would have advance in further in line but also recover from debt.
What I see in this change is that there is some bad but the good overcomes it because benefits that it would have later on, for that it would benefit the common good. People’s rights would be respected more than it used to be both in our country and others. It’s also something that we ought to do and that is protecting our mother, for she is our source of life.
The problem is that we don’t live in that planet where this problem got fixed. People have done several things for both our mother and too help give us a push forward, but there is a problem with in a problem and that is that we fear what is going to happen and the bad outcome’s we are going to face for our bad experience we had faced as a whole. I am not a perfect being; I am also one of those people who are scared of what going to happen tomorrow. The only thing that has change me into who I am excepting what’s there, question what the truth is. Even though if the problem gets fixed there will be people who would want it all too just benefit them. Again I repeat what president Andrew Jackson once said “the bold efforts the present bank has made to control the government… are but premonitions of the fate that awaits the American people should they be deluded into perpetuation of this institution, or the establishment of another like it.” the message that I am trying to leave behind is that in order to become something you need to have the voices of the people who are willing to go so far, and take some responsibility for our own actions. Even if we die, let our message be passed on to our generations until the end of time.
