John was standing in Sherlock's living room. He put the small box down on the table and looked at Sherlock.
"Its over with Mary and I."
Sherlock eyed up John carefully and reached towards the box. He held it nicely and carefully as he opened the lid. A small ring was gleaming inside.
"You were going to propose?"
Sherlock's words came out carefully. John just shrugged his shoulders.
"I don't know what to do with it now."
He reached towards the box and put it back on the table.
"I just don't want to be with her anymore, it was so domestic. I want to be thrilled, Sherlock, and running around London with you is what i want."
Sherlock was looking at him carefully and began smiling. He took out his phone and began scrolling.
"Choose a case"
Sherlock began to laugh, his giggling was contagious and John broke out into laughter.
"Ooh this one - someone's dog is missing."
John kept laughing as Sherlock looked at him.
"Oh please, nothing so boring - I thought you wanted to be thrilled!"
They kept laughing as they looked through cases and messages. It was like when they first met.
"I am sorry John, really."
"So am I"
"No John, I mean it - I really am sorry."
"It's okay Sherlock. It's great. I forgive you."
