(3rd person POV)
"Nozomi-chan? Fancy getting a call from you? How are you doing there in Tokyo?" An adult woman said as she picked up the phone call that came from Nozomi.
"Aunt Nanjo, I'm glad you picked up! I'm doing fine! I'm actually calling to say something to him, if it's fine with you. I've tried calling him 3 times but he hasn't picked up yet. I'm guessing it's just him not wanting to talk again though. Could you get him on the line for me?" Nozomi said as the adult now known as Nanjo, proceeded to give her cellphone to the boy in question.
"Y/n! Why aren't you responding to Nozomi-chan's calls again?" The woman shouted as the boy looked at him with a stoic expression. The boy looked unbothered, not giving a care of what his mother had said.
"Hm? Nozomi would just pester me on and on though." Y/n said as he closed the book he was reading and confronted his mother.
"But she's still your cousin, Y/n. Don't act like that with me. Anyways talk to her or else." Nanjo said, giving his son a death glare of sorts, making him flinch and sigh in defeat. He took the phone from his mother and spoke. "Nozomi? What's up?"
"Hey, Y/n! I actually have an offer for you! You see, our school is closing down and the chairman decided to have us accept male transfer students! So what do you-"
"No." Y/n said, not even making Nozomi finish what she was gonna say.
"Why not, Y/n? It's a new environment and I think you'd like it." Nozomi replied.
"Don't you study in an all-girls school? I don't think it's- No, I know it's not a good idea to put me in an all-girls school. Girls here at my school avoid me, how much more if I go to a school with all girls?" Y/n retaliated.
"Isn't that because of you acting all cold to them? Also, you also said back then that even boys get scared around you. I think it's more about you than about them." Nozomi said as she chuckled.
"It doesn't matter- I'm just not accepting the offer. Living in Tokyo means I leave mom alone here and I can't do that. " Y/n said as he looked at his mom, showing a hint of concern in his eyes. He sighed and went back to look in the direction where the television was on.
"I know you'd say that, but hey, think about it. Anyways, I've gotta go to school now. See you!" Nozomi said as she ended the phone call. The boy gave the phone back to his mother and sat down.
"Y/n, think about what Nozomi-chan said." Nanjo said to his son.
"As I said, I won't leave you here alone, mom. I just can't. I know that you know where I'm going from and you know why I just can't." Y/n said as he stood up.
"Fine... You should head to school now then. You'll be late for school." Nanjo said as she sighed in defeat. Her son grabbed his bag, kissed her on the forehead, and waved him farewell as he closed the door.

As Y/n sat down on his seat and stared into oblivion, one of his classmates decided to break his trance and talk to him. "Y/n, you haven't passed your project yet. Our teacher said I should get it from you." His classmate told him.
"Crap, I forgot I had to pass it today. I- I can convince the teacher that I'd pass next week..." Y/n said to himself as he mentally facepalmed.
"Tch... Didn't I tell you to not use my first name? Everyone knows this by now yet some of you just never learn." Y/n scoffed, irritated at the fact that someone called him by his first name. "Also, I'll pass next week. Don't worry, I'd talk to the teacher about this." Y/n said, his classmate was now intimidated by his sudden change of mood because of just a simple namecall.
