I found out today
That my mom has cancer.
Doctor Green apologised, I don't understand why.
It's not his fault.
It's not anyone's fault.
When we left the hospital, my mom held my hand.
She smiled with tears in her eyes
And she shrugged.
Just shrugged.
When we got in the car
We both burst into tears.
And held each other for what felt like a million years.
