Always- His and Hers

6 Hours

Do did I actually predict  some part of the actual tv series (because if you see the recent tv promo, they landed Akshara in the hospital!)   Hoping that what I had initially thought does not take place  and I'm able to type it all up before they decide to do the same; so for the readers,  this story shall end before they telecast on Monday! I'm doing so because I want to not be influenced with anything they are about to show, so sit back and relax as I reveal to you the next chapter.

The words after those were inaudible. Abhimanyu's heart stopped, shattered and he tripped. His heart felt a pressure like no other. His brothers tried to hold him as he looked at them, saying each word slowly, "Akshara, Akshu..." He shook his head, "no..." NO!" He refused to listen to anything the others wanted  him to hear, "Meri Akshara!" He looked at his brothers, "it can't be her, it just can't be her, I know, I know she is still here," he touched his heart. He looked at Shefali, "bhabhi, search for Akshu..." He wiped off his tears from his cheeks and he ran to each operation theater's gate, peaking for a glimpse of her.

 As his brothers and bhabhi asked the staff walking by them. Neil showed a picture of Akshara to a doctor, "This is Akshara."

The doctor looked at the photo, "Pretty, are you family?" They nodded, "it's one of the worst cases we have had, she is in the operation theater.  Our best doctors are preparing to treat her, but..." she calmed herself, "Her face is badly bruised, shards of glass, fractures on each leg, but our actual concern is the internal bleeding in the brain."

Abhimanyu heard it all, she was alive and he was going to make sure of it. "Doctor, where is she?" 

"Follow me!" They took the right in the hallway,  "we will need you to sign the surgical consent form, who will sign the form?" 

They all looked at each other, Abhimanyu spoke calmly, "Please save her Doctor. I'll sign the form." The doctor went inside, handing the form to Abhimanyu.  

"Bhai..." Neil asked concerningly, "how will you?" 

He signed on the consent form and handed it to the nurse. He looked at the operation theater light and kept praying to Lord Shiva.  Juggling between the thought of entering inside and treating her as a doctor, but he knew he wouldn't be able to see her in that state, he won't be able to control his emotions and the last thing he wanted was to do something wrong. Repeating to himself, trust those doctors, they will save her, trust lord Shiva, he will save her, six hours had passed by. 

They stood looking at the operation theater,  watching nurses and medical technicians go past them.  The hospital staff had requested that only two members of the family stay.  Everyone agreed that Kairav should stay and Neil and Parth managed to convince the family that Abhimanyu should stay as he is a good surgeon and in case, there is a need, he can be of help.   

"Abhimanyu," Kairav looked at him.  His eyes swollen from all the crying, his face reflected the possible pain of losing his sister, "I love my sister very much. She is all that I have of mama and papa," Abhimanyu bit his lip, suppressing his pain, he nodded his  head as tears flowed from his eyes, touching Kairav's shoulder, he pulled him into a hug.  "Nothing will happen to her because..." he bit his lip, "she knows we love her too much, she will come back to us in no time," he sobbed, "in no time." As the boys cried for the woman they loved, the doctors were having a difficult time saving her.
