Last Night

Last night I saw you

in front of my bed

Your hair was tangled

your hands dripping red

I looked at the clock

It was a little past midnight

I tried to move

but my body froze in fright

You came closer

and kissed my forehead

My heart clenched

Morning I dread

Your eyes held so much emotions

too much to place

But it lasted for a second

before a blank look replaced

I hope all my might

my mind is just playing a game

I closed my eyes

still thinking of your name

This morning I woke

and looked at my phone

There was a message

making me wish you never left home

Your mom's text made me feel

like I've been hit by a rock

She told me you endured a crash

and died last night at 12 o'clock
