Mami, missing, magical and insignificant.

Mami.

"Mami! Wake up it's time for desayuno and tía Julieta made arepas and tamales and a bunch of other stuff and if you and papi don't get up it's all gonna be gross and icky!" Camira opened her eyes and looked to her side as she heard her four and a half year old son Camilo say, jumping up and down while trying to drag his pregnant mother out of bed as his twin sister Mirabel did the same thing to their papi.

Camira groaned sarcastically, carefully dragging her son closer and kissing his forehead. "Buenos días, mi pequeño camaleón" she said smiling, hearing Bruno say "Hola, pequeña abeja, is everybody else already up?".

"Yes!" Mirabel shrieked, successfully dragging him out of bed and onto casitas hard wooden floor. "¡Mirabel, flor, tienes que tener cuidado, podrías haber lastimado a tu papi y luego habría tenido que criarte solo!". Mirabel looked down at her feet, her eyes brimming with tears. Bruno knelt down and pulled her into a hug, "it's okay it's okay! Look! Papi's okay!now, Camilo and Mirabel, let's go get some breakfast. You coming down, mi vida?"

"No," Camira rubbed her stomach as she felt her baby kick. "Your child was kicking me all night so I got no sleep." She jokingly blamed him.

"Hey! You can't blame me for that... that's my mother's job.. I think.. most of the time it's my fault though...... bye!" He said, picking the twins up and hoisting them over his shoulder, both of them bursting into a fit of giggles as Bruno walked out of the room. "Oh don't forget to bring me some food! And tell Pepa she still needs to give me back my wedding dress! And tell my brother Felix to make sure she doesn't get too stressed trying to find it! Okay that's all enjoy your breakfast. Oh wait I forgot to say I love you! Ah screw it, I'm coming too! Alma will just get mad if I don't." She said, heaving herself out of bed.

"Buenos días Félix y Agustín, buenos días, dulces niños pequeños, buenos días, mejor amiga, cuñada, buenos días, mi querido esposo Bruno. Buenos días, Alma. ¿Cómo durmieron todos anoche?" She said smiling as she sat down to eat in between her two children, trying to be as polite as possible to everyone, especially Alma.

"Tío Bruno was talking to the rats, mami and papi wearing weird noises and their bed was squeaking, abuela was talking to abuelos picture, you were complaining about your baby kicking, Luisa's eye was twitching, Isabela was making cacti's, and the twins were talking about their gift ceremony." Dolores blurted out, right before she gulped down her orange juice.

Bruno and Camira didn't fail to notice Almas fake smile and the roll of her eyes. They knew it wasn't because of Dolores, but because of what she said. When they had told her nearly five years ago when they were thirty five that they were expecting (mind you this was after they had been married for seventeen years and attempting to start a family for fifteen years) she was less then enthusiastic. She faked her excitement the entire pregnancy, she only seemed to be happy once she realised that only one baby (Mirabel) looked like Bruno, while the other (Camilo) looked like Camira. She did not want another mini Bruno running around controlling everyone's future. Bruno and Camira thought that both of their children were the most beautiful beings in the world. It wasn't that she despised their twins... she just.. didn't pay them much attention unless she absolutely needed to.

Thankfully, the twins didn't notice. Mostly because they were having their own mini food fight while everyone watched and laughed... well.. almost everyone.

Alma slammed her fist down onto the table, catching everyone off guard. Immediately Camilo wrapped his arms around Camira while Mirabel wrapped hers around Bruno. "Camilo Pedro and Mirabel Alma Madrigal! Look at your filthy clothes! Go get changed!" She snapped, pointing at the stairs as the scared, crying four year olds ran upstairs.

"We should go" Isabela, Luisa and Dolores said in unison as they sped off, while the adults stayed behind, still in shock. Camira calmly turned to Alma. "Alma, I know today is hard for you, well for all of you, with it being Pedro's anniversary and all, but that does not give you the right to snap at anyone, much less four year old little kids." At that moment, both Camira and Bruno simultaneously got up out of their seats and made their way to the nursery.

As they made their way into the nursery, they saw Camilo and Mirabel, sitting on their shared bed and crying while hugging each other. Camira walked to the the end of the bed, grabbing her spare guitar that she kept there for moments like these. She sat in the rocking chair, while Bruno knelt in front of them and began to sing.

"Look at you grow!
Isn't it amazing?
They'll never know
How we love them so
And I can see
In all the different what ifs and maybes
In every one you shine

You're gonna make this family proud
We swear we will always be around
And I can only hope and pray
The miracle will let you stay

My sweet bells
I can tell
That your futures are blindingly bright
Don't give in
We'll get through thick and thin
Don't you know you're this family's light?
At least I could do something right.

Missing.

"Papá, ¿dónde están mamá y bebé Andrea?" Mirabel asked.

Bruno sighed quietly, he put down the (normal) candle and put on a fake smile as he turned around and bent down to her level. "I don't know bee, but I'm sure mami and your baby sister are perfectly fine." He said, trying more to reassure himself then his daughter.

Camira left with baby Andrea three days ago, after Alma had asked her to run some errands in preparation for the twins gift ceremony..., nobody has heard from them since.

Magical and insignificant.

Camilo, who had just received his gift as a shape shifter, watched in horror as his twin sisters door slowly faded away. Her eyes slowly brimmed with tears, as a disappointed.. and even kind of terrified abuela stared down at her.

Less then a second later he heard his father yell "EVERYBODY LEAVE", before feeling himself and his sister being picked up by their papi, and entering Camilo's room.

As soon as Bruno put them both down on the ground, Mirabel rushed into his arms crying her eyes out, as Camilo and Bruno rushed to hug her.

"Oh, mi dulce bebé, I'm so sorry you didn't get a gift... I promise you that this is not your fault" Bruno whispered, slowly talking louder and louder as the fight between his sisters, Felix and Alma began to pick up in volume. Thank god these kids have good aunts and uncles. Plus cousins cause Luisa (who had been bottling up everything) told her abuela to shut her pie whole. Go Luisa!

Now for the hard part... leaving them...
