Wilbur pockets the ring that he'd stolen from a victim, and heads into the forest. Tommy knows about him and Quackity, has known for a long time, but has had the decency to not blabber on him, and Wilbur respects him for that.
Wilbur treks through the forest, through the familiar path that he had taken so many times, but this time it will be a special time. Because he's going to surprise Quackity.
After a few minutes, a twig snaps and a grin spreads across Wilbur's face.
"Hey, Quackity."
The man in question steps out from a bush and smiles at Wilbur. "Hey, Wilby."
"Is Wilby your new nickname for me?"
"Do you want it to be?"
"I don't know. You tell me, duckling."
Quackity blushes, just like every time Wilbur uses that nickname with him.
"Alright, alright," Quackity says, unbuttoning his shirt.
"No, no, no, darling, I want to talk first!" Wilbur says desperately.
"About what?"
"Isn't it about time you got your own place? Near here? You could pay Phil a few bodies a month in exchange for a strip of land."
"Aren't you fine with our current arrangement?" Quackity asks.
"Yes, but wouldn't it be better if our relationship was public? Like, so we don't have to keep it secret?" Wilbur asks him.
"I guess... I'm fine where I am right now though."
Wilbur sighs. He's not getting the hint. Wilbur grabs the rings from his pocket.
He gets down on one knee.
"Quackity, will you marry me?"
Quackity is dumbstruck for a few seconds, hand clapped over mouth.
Then he yells, "Yes! Yes! Fuck yes! I've been waiting for this day for so long!"
Wilbur smiles out of relief, and pulls Quackity into a tight hug- Quackity makes little giggling noises, muffled by the fabric of Wilbur's coat which he has buried his face in. Wilbur is pretty sure he's crying out of joy.
"Is now a good time to tell them, duckling?" Wilbur asks.
"Anything to make sure the wedding goes ahead!"
