"Buffy? Buffy? Are you ok?" Xander waves his hand in front of Buffy's face.

"Huh? What- what happened?"

Buffy looks down at her bandaged wrist, and the memories come back in flashes. She remembers calling Spike William, how they argued, and how Willow and Xander found her.

"You okay, Buff?" Xander asks.

"Yeah, I- I don't want to talk about it. I think I'm just going to rest, then patrol later."

"Are you sure you're up for that?" Giles asks.

"Yeah, patrolling helps me clear my head."

"Want us to go with you?" Willow chimed in.

"It's okay, I can go by-"

Just then, the rest of Buffy's memories come back all at once. She remembers how Spike was able to pin her to the wall, hurt her and threaten to kill her. She cringes at the thought of being helpless and restrained by the person who hasn't been able to hurt her for two years.

"-myself," she whispers.

She grabs her stuff and walks out of the magic shop.

It is still dark out when she leaves to patrol, and on autopilot, Buffy goes to the cemetery. As she enters the cemetery, she looks around and takes notice of where she is. A cool breeze hits her from behind, and she winces at the air hitting her damaged back.

She looks around in search of vampires or demons and tightens her grip on the stake in her hand.

"Come on you monsters! I'm really in the mood to fight right now," she yells into the darkness.

All of a sudden, a vampire leaps out of the darkness and drops her to the ground. She scrambles to her feet and attempts to stake him but instead misses and lands on her back. She could feel her back hit something sharp then she blacked out.
