Little Problem Children

Chapter 5 - Morning Comfort

The boys played for a little while and then it was time for bed. Denki was sure he could do it by himself, there was no need to bother Kirishima or Momo. They needed to rest and he wanted to prove that he can take care of the boys without any help.

Denki walked over to the boys and got down to their level. "Hey, guys it's time to get ready for bed, let's go brush our teeth then we can read a story before bed." The boys looked at him and nodded. All three of them looked very tired and not up for a fight. Todoroki put his toy up and then grabbed his stuffed Pokemon, "Can I sleep with my stuffy?" He said softly as he looked up at Denki. "Yeah, sure lil' dude." He gave him a smile and then stood up to take them to brush their teeth. Midoryia and Bakugo followed behind while Todoroki held his hand as they walked to the bathroom. 

Denki helped them brush their teeth and tucked them into Midoryia's bed. He gave Midoryia his pacifier to help soothe him to sleep. Denki grabbed one of the children's books that they had bought from the store and began to read the story to them. Halfway through the story, all three boys were sound asleep. Denki looked at them with a smile before quietly leaving the room, leaving the door slightly cracked. I knew I could do it.

It was too early for Denki to go to bed so he went back into the living room and plopped down on the couch. He let out an exhausted sigh and then turned the tv on to watch a show. Mina walked into the room ready to join Denki. They normally have a late-night movie night every night and tonight is no different. "Hey, Denks!" She said with a smile as she sat down next to him. She looked around like she was searching for something. "Where are the boys?" Denki looks at Mina and smiles proudly. "They are asleep in bed, I put them to sleep." Mina smiled at him, "Way to go, dude! I figured that would be hard to do." Denki shakes his head and looks at her. "Nah, they are pretty good kids. Definitely less crazy than their older selves." Mina giggled a bit, "Don't say that so soon, you'll jinx yourself." Denki chuckled at her comment, hoping that what she said wouldn't be true.

They both chose a movie and settled on the couch comfortably. Halfway through the movie, Aizawa walked into the building looking exhausted as always. Mina noticed and smiled at him. "Your back late, Sensei." Aizawa groaned and sat down in one of the reclining chairs. "I had to speak to their parents about the situation." Denki paused the movie and looked over, "By the way you look it didn't go well did it?" He looked at Aizawa concerned. "Well, Izuku's mother was the most reasonable let's put it like that." He sighed and rubbed his forehead as a headache started to form. "I couldn't get a hold of Todoroki's father so I left a voicemail, not very surprising since I'm sure he's on Patrol. Bakugo's mother was not happy and said some unsavory words on the phone about UA's protection of you guys." Mina walked over to Aizawa and patted his shoulder. "At least it's over now right?" She smiled at him but Aizawa just shook his head at her. "I wish. Actually, I was meaning to tell you both mothers are coming by tomorrow morning to see the boys for themselves. Mrs. Midoryia said she had something to give the boys to help them through this, I'm not so sure what she means by that." He shrugged his shoulders and got up from the chair. He stretched with a few pops of the joints. "Make sure to let the others know, I'm going to bed."

Both Mina and Denki nodded their heads at him as they watched him yawn and walk away to his dorm room. "Tomorrow is going to be hectic." Mina sighed and slumped back down on the couch. "Please it can't be that bad," Denki said with a stupid smile. "It's their mom's, how bad could it possibly be." Mina shook her head at him and started up the movie again. "You're an idiot, jinxing yourself again."

Kirishima ended up sleeping the whole night, he thought he was just going to take a nap but slept the whole night away. Since he went to bed so early he was the first one to wake up in the morning. He stretched and got out of bed, he took a shower and got dressed for the day. As he went downstairs he was met by Iida and Shoji in the kitchen making coffee. "Morning Kirishima, you're up early," Iida said as he sat down looking at the news on his phone. Shoji made himself a cup of coffee and then left the room.  "Yeah, I went to bed early." He rubbed his eyes to get the sleep out of them before getting breakfast for himself. "Just to inform you, Both Midoryia and Bakugo's mothers are coming this morning to see them." Kirishima looked at Iida a bit puzzled. "Why? And how do you know?" He sat down next to him at the table to eat. Iida took a sip from his cup. "Kaminari and Ashido let a few of us know last night before everyone went to bed. Apparently, Aizawa had told them. I am not quite sure why they are coming though." He shrugged his shoulders not thinking too much about it. Kirishima also shrugged his shoulders and finished eating. "I guess I'll get them ready then." Kirishima cleaned up and then went to go wake the boys up.
