Rejected. Every job you wanted that you applied for you were rejected from. It wasn't like you were completely unqualified or not personable, but nobody wanted you. You had everything you needed for the job you wanted, degree and licenses all the way. But here you found yourself, desperate and unemployed.
So, what do unemployed and desperate people do? They get a job that is quick and easy that doesn't require any beforehand training. Grabbing your laptop, you sent over your resume to McDonald's, Walmart, Waffle House, and other places like it. Surely one of them had to respond.
A couple days went by with no contact from any of the places you applied to. No text, email, call, nothing. Opening your laptop again, you started to apply everywhere, including the Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Plex. Yes, you hated the idea of cleaning child vomit and having to look for shoes in the ball pit, but the pay wasn't bad, sitting at $13.00 per hour.
For the first time, you got a call back after 24 hours. You quickly opened up your voicemail box on your cellphone and listened to the recorded message.
"Hello, hello, this is Craig Richardson. I'm calling about your recent application as prize counter employee. At Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Plex, we have a wide variety of gift shops and prize counters to tend to, so we'd love to have you on our team. If you're interested in an interview, just call back between our business hours of 6am to 12am and we'll be sure to make some room for you. Have a good day."
A job offer. A real job offer just for you. You let out a small squeal and called the number back immediately. A woman picked up this time, but regardless, you set up an interview for Thursday at 10am.
When Thursday morning came around, you got read in something that said you look professional but you aren't trying too hard. Jumping in your car, you grabbed a coffee/tea and drove to the Mega Pizza Plex. Trying to not hit to many pedestrians on your way, you kept checking the rear view mirror to se if you were still looking your best.
Pulling into a parking space, you sucked down the last of your drink and headed inside. You were immediately hit by the smell of pizza, plastic, and air freshener at the front entrance. Walking towards the counter, a woman with brown hair and a headband greeted you.
"Good morning!" She exclaimed, a bit too loud for your liking. "Just one adult pass for today?"
"Uh, no actually. I'm here for an interview in 10 minutes." You said with an awkward laugh.
"Oh, yes. (Y/n)? You can follow me to Mr. Richardson's office." She said, smiling with a head full of braces. She left the counter and gestured you to follow her, her ponytail swinging at ungodly speed. She walked you through the elevator, walking towards the main atrium.
Looking at it, it was breathtaking. Bright neon colors were everywhere and there were so many floors as well. The entire space was lit up with neon lights and a false night sky to top it off. Around the attractions were animatronics that were talking to kids and taking pictures with them.
You continued to follow the girl showing you around, taking in the vintage scenery. Eventually, the girl stopped in front of a large, purple bunny, with a bowling alley shirt on, surrounded by kids. The shirt had a bow tie in the middle and purple shoulder pads.
"Bonnie, please take Ms. (Y/n) to Mr. Richardson's office." The girl with brown hair said with enthusiasm. "I gotta work the ticket booth still."
"Yes, of course, Regina." He said with a nod. "Ok, superstars, I gotta help my new friend out, so why don't you go ahead and play some rounds in Bonnie Bowl?" The kids nodded and yelled replies before scurrying off. Bonnie started walking away with you behind him, before he continued. "So, are you trying to get a job here?"
