It was a cold, rainy night, and Hu Tao decided to go on a walk. When she went outside, she noticed Yanfei standing near a lamppost. She was probably reviewing the laws, as usual. Hu Tao decided to invite her to come along, after all, she had nothing better to do. When Hu Tao approached her, Yanfei's head immediately shot up. "Hello, Yanfei!" Hu Tao said with a grin. "Oh, hey Hu Tao! What's up?" Yanfei asked.
"Well... I was wondering if you maybe wanted to go on a walk together? I was planning on going to Wangshu Inn."
Yanfei awkwardly glanced over to the side. "Oh! I would love to, but.. I can't. I promised Zhongli that I would help him out with something. I really do apologize..."
Hu Tao quickly brushed it off. "Oh, no worries! I'll see you tomorrow then?"
"Of course!" Yanfei smiled. "Great!" Hu Tao exclaimed. Even if Yanfei was't coming, that wasn't going to stop Hu Tao. As she set off for the Inn, she sighed. Sometimes it felt like everybody hated her. Although she knew that, for the most part, everyone did. Especially Qiqi..
Qiqi..
The only one who had a right to hate her. She was such a nice child too. It's too bad that... nevermind. Hu Tao was the 77th director of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, and all of those years spent working were probably beginning to drive her insane. At least, that's what people said. People wondered why Zhongli even decided to work with her. However, Hu Tao didn't care. As she continued on her journey, she looked at the moon, resting peacefully above the stars. With a sigh, she kept moving, ignoring all the roaming hilichurls. 'I wonder why Yanfei is meeting up with Zhongli,' Hu Tao thought to herself. In truth, she may have been a little jealous. 'Only a little bit,' she reassured herself. As the rainfall continued, Hu Tao realized that she had to head back home. It was getting late, especially considering the fact that she left around 11PM. However, the rain was really starting to come down now. Hu Tao knew that she wouldn't be able to get back home in time, after all, the harbor was located over a mile away. Hu Tao knew that a local inn was located nearby – she remembered it as Wangshu Inn. She decided to go there in an attempt to seek shelter. When she did, she immediately went to the front desk, only to be greeted by a bright, cheery woman.
