Padding of booted feet echoed down the long hallway. The raven-haired male turned his head to find the source of the noise so late at night. Spotting his brother down the hall, he turned to greet him once he reached the billiard-room door. Face to face, the eldest of the two arched a brow when his brother waved as though beckoning someone forward.
Eyes widening at the sight, Madara watched as a woman came from behind Izuna. She had her head hung, only allowing Madara to see her l/c h/c hair. She seemed tiny in comparison to the two males who she now stood between. Madara leaned back slightly, taking in her clothes. A little black dress on her curvy frame, heels clutched in her hands, leaving her bare feet to freeze on the marble floor. She had nothing more with her.
"Showing off your plaything for the night?" Madara focused back on Izuna, standing to his full height.
The woman's head snapped up. Madara cut his eyes downward, a mistake it seemed. Her e/c eyes swirled with panic and defiance. Madara could see she was clenching her jaw tightly as if she was holding back a snarky retort. Eyes on Izuna once again, his brother answered.
A smirk on his lips, "Hardly, brother," Izuna jerked his chin towards the woman, "she was currency this evening. Someone made a bet he thought he couldn't lose," Izuna placed a hand on her hip, and she stumbled back into his chest, "he was wrong."
Madara arched a brow as he watched the woman's eyes scan his body. He was headed for a nightcap, so he was dressed in nothing but his silk pajama pants. The luxurious life of these men was already apparent to her. She wanted to rip every shred of fabric in the mansion. She wanted to shatter every vase, every glass, and destroy every canvas that lined their walls.
"So she is your plaything," Madara said dryly.
Madara watched as Izuna let his hand at her hip snake its way to her throat. His breath was hot on her neck, making her shiver, "She's mine," he said, "indefinitely." Her eyes closed as if she was resigned to that fate.
"You can't win a person in a game of poker, Izuna," Madara scoffed at the idea. Sure, they've made bets for nights alone with women before, but to actually win a woman, for life?
Izuna chuckled, his chest vibrating against her back, "You forget who we are, my dear brother," always the dark and mysterious one, "you also forget who I was playing against."
Ah yes, how could Madara forget? Izuna had gone to play poker with some of the cities finest criminals. The Senju Brothers. Jirayia. Pein. Orochimaru. Danzo. Who would it be that leveraged the woman?
Curious now, Madara asked, "And who was dumb enough to wager their date?"
A dark and menacing laugh echoed down the hall, "Oh no, it's even better than that," Izuna kissed her neck, "tell him, doll, who you are," she hadn't opened her eyes until now. She simply listened to the brothers converse.
Eyes holding Madara's analyzing and expectant gaze, she responded, "Y/n Shimura," Madara nearly fell over in surprise.
"You mean to tell me that Danzo, your father, bet you in a poker game?" She only nodded, and Madara scoffed, "And he lost?"
She crossed her arms, "I was taken from the restaurant where I was enjoying a nice date," she turned her head away in spite, "my father sent Sai to fetch me like some dog."
Madara was growing bored now. Izuna would grow tired of the woman in a week or so, then she'd return home to her father. Good riddance. Madara shook his head, "Be smart, Izuna," Madara turned to enter his original destination; a drink needed even more.
"Her things are being delivered this weekend," Izuna called out to Madara. Madara looked back, "She'll be our maid," another smirk on his lips, "What should we have her do first, brother? Perhaps-"
