One last dance in the rain

Happy beginning

 In the pouring rain, a young couple goes on a walk together. They have an umbrella with them but like to go without opening it: "One day we'll catch a cold!", the woman said to her man. He laughed in return: "We'll be okay, let's shower when we get home again". Their way home wasn't far but they want to enjoy this moment as much as they can.

Finally arriving back home, they stripped their rain soaked clothes off and hopped in a shower together. While the water rains on them, the couple slow dances. Covered in shampoo they tease each other, creating bubbles and throwing shampoo at each other. The like to have lots of fun together.

After the shower they get on the couch to watch their favourite comedy together: "Oh my. You want to try this too?". "Are you crazy?! I'll break my spine on my first attempt!". They are happy together. The laughing exhausted the woman, making her sleepy quickly and eventually she falls asleep. The man turns off the TV and looks at his girlfriend: "She's always so cute when she sleeps", he thought. Right at that moment she starts to snore loud, surprising him: "Oh, wow. I have a chainsaw as a girlfriend", he chuckled.

Soon after he falls asleep too with her in his arms. This is all he wished for, to have someone who loves him as much as he loves them, and have them close to him. In his dream, he sees her, sees her dance, getting further and further away from him. He tries to catch up but she outdistances him. His legs give out, he falls to the ground but the woman keeps dancing down the road. He tries to yell but nothing comes out. His heart aches and his body is heavy. Soon, the woman dances away from the light, into darkness. He lost what means the most to him.

With a loud gasp he wakes back up: "No!". His girlfriend peeks out of the kitchen: "Are you alright? You kept tossing and turning in your sleep": "Oh, thank god you're here! I had a nightmare about you". Her eyes open further: "What do you mean? What happened?". He explains to her what he saw. "And then you left the light and danced into darkness, leaving me". "Aww, you know I love you! I won't leave you! I promise".

The two exchange kisses, eat breakfast and ready themselves for the day. "Don't forget your keys!". "I won't honey! See you this evening". The man leaves for work while she stays home and cleans, washes the clothes, the dishes and prepares a surprise for the man.
