(This entire book is Dream's pov)

Waking up, I have to say, is the worst part of everyday.

School sucks I just wanna lay in bed all day. Ignore Homework and just not interacting with anyone. Sounds like the dream.

I roll out of bed, lay on the floor spacing out a few more minutes, and finally getting dressed. I throw on some old green sweater and a pair of baggy jeans with converse.

Eventually I make my way to the bathroom and brush my teeth, the basics and all that jazz. I don't live too far from the school so I walk every morning.

When I get there I'm greeted with a smile and a hello from Sapnap. An old time friend, we've know each other for about 7 years now. Our moms got along well so it just worked out. I smile and greet him back .

"I really don't wanna go to class today dude." Sapnap says with a frown. "That sucks bro." Sapnap scoffs at my snarky response. "What do you have first period again?"  He tilts his head a little. "Uh, Computer Programming " I say with a slight smile, I enjoy that class quite a bit.

The bell rings and we make our way to first period. I set down my bag and got started on my project that we were given a couple days ago. The rest of the day was boring and filled with half asleep memories. During lunch I couldn't help but fall asleep. Why am I so tired today? Maybe I should get a coffee or something. Coffee most definitely did not work in the slightest.

Once I step off the school grounds I get this odd feeling in my gut, I feel like I couldn't go home, it was odd, almost like an instinct telling me to wander. So I follow my sense of direction like a lost animal. Eventually it got dark, I was tired, but still felt like wandering. It was so odd. After what felt like hours, I came across a diner I've never seen before, I live in a small town so it was odd I haven't seen it before. I stare at it in confusion while wind blows through leaves in nearby trees. It was a light purple theme, it looked kind of nostalgic almost, it feels like I've definitely seen it before.

I'm hesitant to walk in, but end up doing so. There's no harm in exploring, and it looked like it was open anyway. I walk in and hear a bell ring as the door opens. I set foot inside and looked around. It looked like your average diner, almost like from a movie, but it was empty, no one was here. It was so strange, almost didn't feel real. My eyes wonder from the lights in the ceiling to the black and white tile floor.

"You know once you walk in you can't leave right?" I hear a mystery voice. I jump in fear and shock. "Hello?" I look around to see where that voice came from. It was a soft British accent, soothing in a way. A burnett boy with his arms crossed walks towards me from behind the counter. He cocks an eyebrow, looking me up and down. He looked so... pretty. "You're an idiot for coming in here." I look at him in a questioning way, his eyes reflect the purple color from the lights. "It's just a diner, I think you're over reacting a bit, if it's closed I'll just leave." I turn around to leave. He uncrosses his arms, almost kind of reaching for me. "I wouldn't do that if I were you." I grab the door handle "or what?" I open the door.

I gasp as I wake up in a cold sweat and with a headache. I hold my head in pain and look around. I'm in my room somehow. I'm wearing my usual Pj's, White shirt and black plaid sweat pants. "What the fuck?" I spoke out loud to myself. I swore I didn't walk home yesterday. I space off in a dazed confusion.

"Dream! Sweetie, It's time to get up!" My mom, she isn't worried at all? "I'm up."It's almost like I never left. I sit in confusion for a little longer. With time, I got dressed for school wearing ripped baggy jeans and a black sweatshirt with a white smile on it. 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘚𝘢𝘱𝘯𝘢𝘱 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴.

On my way to school I realized how extremely tired I was, How peculiar, almost like I got no sleep, I still had a pounding headache. God it's annoying. Every little noise was a pain to hear. The wind making my ears ring. Why the hell does this feel so awful.

"Hi Dream!" Sapnap yells making me wince in pain and causing me to cover my ears. He was about to slap my back as a friendly way to say hello but stops half way. "Dude are you alright." I uncover my ears "Yeah, I just have a headache." I could feel the bags under my eyes deepen. "Okay.." He moves on with caution. Not talking much as we walk to our separate classes. I know I was going to tell him what happened but I didn't have it in me to say anything. My mind drew a blank trying to talk about it at all.

I didn't have the energy to do First period today, I couldn't handle trying to stare at a computer screen.

Karl, Tommy, and Ranboo came up to me during lunch. Karl spoke up "Hey man, you doing alright? Sapnap told me you weren't doing to well this morning." I look up at them from my lunch table, "Uh, yeah, just a small headache" I smile tiredly at them. "You sure big man? You look pretty stressed." Tommy looks at me worriedly. "Yeah don't worry about it." I look back down at my lunch. I didn't have the energy to eat.

I sat in 6th period, my headache getting progressively worse, but I'm starting to learn to ignore it, earbuds help a bit. I can't help but think about that boy. He was so pretty. White glasses sat on his head and a blue shirt with 404 written with white text and red background. He was wearing slightly baggy jeans and the same converse as me. He was quite short I do admit, and definitely had an attitude. Why was he there, if it were a dream, why did he show up? Why was no one else there? The bell rang for 6th period and I pack to leave for home. Will any of my questions have answers?

This time I hesitate stepping off school ground, scared I might wonder again and end up at that stupid diner. I take a deep breath and run my hand through my messy blonde locs. I take one step slowly. A tile floor appears beneath my feet. "What?" I say in confusion. My headache was gone. I stare at my foot, almost afraid to see the diner walls again. "I told you not to open it, idiot." I look up to see the boy from last time. I lock eye contact with him. Examining his features. I shake my head to bring me back to reality. I point at him. "It's you." He rolls his eyes "Well no shit." I'm taken aback by the tone "Why are you so pissy?" He gives me an annoyed look. "Because of you, I overslept and had a pounding headache all day." He crosses his arms. "That happened to you too?" He scoffs and walks away. "Hey wait!" I catch up to him "can you at least explain what's going on?" He stops, and looks at me in the eye. "Look, the only thing I know is that we are stuck here, and can't leave till morning." He turns back around and starts walking to the kitchen. I follow him to the room and watch what he's doing. He starts grabbing a bunch of food from cupboards. I follow the strange brunette to the main room and sat down across from him at a table as he offered me some food. I take it and ask him a question. "Are you real?" He stops eating and looks up at me. "I could ask the same for you." "Wow, very helpful." I roll my eyes and stare out the window. It looked normal outside, so why couldn't we leave. He sighs and peers up at me. "look, I know I'm real, and existing as my own person, I have no clue why we are here, nor now to get out, now can you just shut up." I stare at him, kind of just processing what he was saying. I look down "So we are just stuck?" He sighs again, "I guess so."He calms down a little bit. He looks out the window and leans back with arms behind his head.

"So what's your name?" He looks at me with slight surprise. "Uh, It's George." I smile, "Hi George," I hold out my hand, "I'm Dream." We sit in silence as he looks at my hand, then me. "That's so dumb, what the hell are you doing?" "I'm introducing my self, cus, you know, manners." He rolls his eyes and shakes my hand. I give him a smile. He gives a small, almost unnoticeable smile back looking away. He looks back at me, "you know, I never really got a good look at you." He starts studying my features. Very carefully examining me. I just sit there, slightly confused. He make eye contact with me. "You have nice eyes." He stares for a minute longer. I smile a little "Thanks?" He goes back to eating, "Yeah no problem." I roll my eyes. This is going to be a long night.
