chapter 2

"What happend? Where is he?" Andy arrived in the waiting area at Grey Sloan. The team turned around after they heard Andys voice, the team looked around trying to figure out who tells their captain why her husband is in the hospital. "We where called to a wearhouse fire Sullivan and I went in to look for a girl that was still missing. After a while Gibson ordered us out cause the structure wasn't safe anymore, we almost made it out when we saw the missing girl passed out on the floor and as I was getting ready to get her out the ceiling just collapsed. As I got the victim out Ben and Dean went in to get Sullivan but when they reached him he was already passed out so we rushed him here and called you." Vic said walking toward Andy. Andy looked around the waiting room trying to keep her emotions in but she couldn't. She ran off after a few minutes Carina found her crying outside of the hospital. "Andy what's wrong?" she asked as she came up to her. Andy looked up as she heard Carinas voice:" It's Robert he got hurt on a call and I really don't know what to do." "Okay first of all you need to calm down okay. It isn't just about you anymore. You have to look after the little human growing inside you and that little human need it's Mama to be calm." Carina said with a soft smile. Andy looked back up from her shoes and cracked a weak smile:" But how am I supposed to keep calm when my babys father-" "Oh my god Andy you are pregnant?" they turned around to see Vic, excitement all over her face. "I am I found out earlier today and wanted to suprise Robert after shift." Andy said looking at her friend. Vics smile grew even bigger:" FIREHOUSE BABY!" "Keep it down! It's bad enough that you found out befor Robert and i swear to god if you tell anyone i will put you on desk duty for a month." Andy said wiping her tears away. "I'm really happy for you Andy." Vic said with a smile while she took her friend into a hug.

Robert was in surgery for several hours already, Andy couldn't stay in one place for more than a couple of minutes. She was about to go to the toilette to look at the spare ultrasound picture she had in her pocket to remind her why she has to stay calm when Dr. Bailey and Meredith walked in. "So your husband is out of surgery he has a ruptured liver but we where able to repair it he's stable now but we'll keep him in the ICU for a few days, just to keep am eye on him." Miranda said with a sweet smile on her face. Andy let out a breath she didn't knew she was holding:" Can I see him?" "Yes of course I can bring you to his room." Merdith said looking at her friend.
They where in the elevator on their way to the ICU when Meredith started:" So i heard congratulations are in order." "What do you mean?" Andy asked confused. "Carina came in our OR and told us that no matter what we have to safe this man cause she just spend half an hour calming down his pregnant wife." Meredith laught. Andy smiled a little. They arrived at the ICU and Meredith lead Andy to her husbands room.

Andy has been sitting in Roberts room for about an hour when she heard the door open, she turned her her head away from her husband to see who's there. "Bailey told me he was brought in so I wated to check on him but it looks like he's still out." Richard said after closing the door behind him. "Richard hi. It's really nice that you want to check on him but he's still out." Andy said with a worried voice. "Don't worry he should wake up soon, you stay with him until he does, I'll come back to check on him when he's awake." Richard said walking back to the door. Andy smiled at him:" Thank you for coming Richard i know he would be really happy to see you."

About half an hour later Andy was still siting in her husbands hospital room when she heard him moving. She got out of her chair and started talking:" Robert? Babe can you hear me?" "Andy? What happend?" he turned his head a little to look at his wife. "You got hurt on a call, you had surgery for a liver bleed. I'll go get a doctor to check on you." Andy got up to get a doctor.
She made her way out of the room when she saw Meredith talking to a nurse. "Merdith, Robert woke up I told him I'll get a doctor to check on him." Andy said with a big smile. I'll be right there to check on him." Merdith said finishing up her chart.
Andy turned around to go back to her husbands room. She opend his door and was about to say something when he started seizing. "He's seizing I need help in her!" Andy turned around and just yelled through the ICU. Meredith and a ton of nurses made their way into Roberts room, pushed Andy out and closed the blinds. Andy just stood there in shock when she heard her familiar voice:" Andy what happend why aren't you in the room with Robert?" " I went to get a doctor after he woke up and when I came back he started seizing." Andy said with tears in her eyes. Michelle looked at her cousin and took her into a hug.
"After you texted me that Robert got out of surgery I went back to your house and got this," Michelle held up the small box that Andy wanted to give to her husband "I thought this could cheer him up a little."
Andy was about to talk to her cousin again when the door to Roberts room open and Meredith came out. "Your husband started seizing from the blood loss he suffered due to his liver bleed, he stopped seizing, he's still unconscious." Merdith said rubbing Andys shoulder. "Thank you so much Meredith really." Andy looked at her friend with a soft smile.
