part 01 - Moving out

It was a very rainy day on December first week. I was having a rough day , it was soo tiresome.

It was a school day, and today was the last day of my school life........ It was really sad.

" Hey Sala , I 'm gonna miss you girl"

" Don't say that, I'm not gonna leave here , don't be sad girl !!"

I knew she would say that, I 'm so blessed to have a close bestie for the whole semester.

Reena joined our village school coz her dad had a transfer, so she had to join our school for further studies. until she join the school i didn't have any friends,

she is the first person where i felt uncomfortable and she is soo kind and helpful. we had many similarities.

I'm gonna miss Reena because i got a scholarship to study in one of the popular schools in our city. Reena will be continuing her family business, she would also travel with her parents to many countries.

" Sala, when will you go to your college????? "

" ooh, probably next Saturday, coz I've to arrange my apartment "

" can i come with you....? "

" oh you can, but i will be going in the public service "

" it isn't an issue "

" soo Reen when will you start taking over your family business "

" don't ask me that!! you know i hate this FAMILY business, i just hate when i think of leaving you behind "

" don't mind me girl, your parents.. they believe in you so try to understand them.

we can meet each other at vacations "

" Safa!!!! can you please look who is at the door for me"

" ok mom "

" sis..... it's your bestie Reena

Did she arrive early sis?? "

" no, Safa we will be leaving at around 4 in the evening... "

" hey Safu !! i didn't see you only for 2 weeks, look how tall you have become "

" Reena sis, plz don't tease me.... im still a small girl.. look i haven't grown much too... "

" hey dear Reena !!! "

" aunty it's been soo long.... i missed your cooking "

" ooh dear, i will make some at the next time when you come home "

" Aunty... where's Sala??? "

" haa maybe she's still packing her stuffs. she should take everything nah "

" ok aunty let me go to her room and help her do the packing "

" ok darling ! let me make some thing for you to drink "

_In Salama's Room_

" hey !!!!! GIRL!!!! "

" Reen i thought you will be a bit late "

" don't say that you are my one and only bestie.... how can i be late? "

" ok ok don't be angry i just asked you "

" ha ha i was just joking lol !!!!!

come on let's do the packing if not we gonna miss the bus ! "

" yeah if we miss the bus we will not be able to reach their "

_AT THE APARTMENT_

" huff.... finally arrived here "

" Sala this building is soo tall which floor is your apartment? "

" hey Reen, the land lady said my room is on the fourth floor,

we'll take the key from her and head to the room "

" ok ! Sala I will stay with your stuffs, better hurry and take the keys from her, coz i 'm feeling soo hungry girl !!

" wow... this room is so spacy "

" yeah it is "

" hey Sala, lets have dinner . this hunger is killing me "

" ooh goodness !! mom gave some foods , let's have them "

" ooh aunty's handmade foods are soo delicious "

It's so nice to have aunty's home cooked meals.. coz my mom and dad are always busy with their business trips and meetings, and they never cooked me a home made meal with love.

I'm just used to the street foods and takeaways. But, Sala is a girl from another world. she has her family beside her no matter what, they support her dreams and help her to achieve it.

when i met her for the first time in high school at the beginning of last semester, she was soo talkative and helpful, but she didn't have any friends. This made me more curious to know her more.

After being her bestie, I stayed at her home when my parents leave for business trips. her mom and dad were so nice, even her little sister Safa was like my own sister. they became a part of me.

but the end of our high school life is gonna bring many changes in life.

" Reen next Monday i will be starting my college "

" i'm gonna miss u Sala "

" me too Reen i will miss you soo badly "

" Sala let's promise each other to call and be in touch no matter what. "

" ok i promise "

" and Sala try making new friends, when ever you feel lonely just call me or text me ok "

" ok mom "

" hey don't call me mom. i'm just worried for you "

" Reen you too promise me that you will call me when ever you miss me "

" yes i promise "

i still remember the day we promised each other....

this was the end of my high school life.... and i'm welcoming my college days.
