Our Love Is Strange

Chapter 3 - The Introduction

"I'm Dr Steven Strange. Why are you here?" He asked as he slowed flew down the stairs. "Woah you really are a wizard! That's so cool!" I say with excitement. "If you're here to fanboy then just get it over with." He said with a sigh. I guess he's been having a lot of fans come to his since he helped the Avengers with their mission. "Oh sorry no I'm not but I just find you really cool but that's not why I'm here." I say while getting anxious. "Then why are you here?" He asked raising an eyebrow. "Well I need your help." I say as I release the fire and it runs up my arms. It doesn't burn my clothes cause I made sure it wont burn. I try to not to let the fire get worse. Suddenly it spreads as my other arm goes up in flames and it courses through my body and so know I look like a torch. "Oh no. No no no." I say anxiously. He put his arms across each other as if to make a cross and put his middle and ring finger together on both hands and slowly uncross his arms which causes the middle of his necklace to open and a green gem started to glow. A green ring forms around his hand and he turn his hand anti-clockwise and suddenly the fire starts going back and then the fire stopped. "Woah how did you do that?" I say in surprise. "It's a simple spell that can be used with this time stone," He responds. "Follow me. Oh and bring your stuff. You can leave it up stairs."

He starts to walk up stairs and speedwalk after him. As I walk up the stairs he tells me "Put your stuff over there." and he points over to a chair next to a bookcase. So I did what he asked and I noticed he sat down in a chair opposite so I sat down too. 

I look at him and I didn't really look at him when I first arrived but now that there's better lighting I was able to look at him properly. He had black hair with grey streaks along the side of his head, he had a beard but it only around his mouth and he had the most beautiful blueish-greenish eyes kinda of like mine. He was kind of handsome and without noticing I was blushing. 

"Right before we go on any further I would like to get to know you better. So I'm going to ask you a few or more questions if that's okay with you." He asks now with very nice smile. "Uhm s-sure ask away haha." I respond. Shit I stuttered I fucking hate this. I always stutter but I guess it's cause I've just met him. "Okay first of what was your name again?" Dr Strange questioned. "Um my name is Aspen Kauffman." I responded. "What is your favourite drink?" Dr Strange asked. I him a confused look and I responded by saying "My favourite drink is Dr Pepper" Then all of a sudden an open can of Dr Pepper appeared in my hand without question I open the can, take the tab off, put it in my pocket and drinks some of it. "Would you like in in a glass?" He questions. I nod and a glass appeared in place of the can. 

"Thanks. Oh by the way if you could use he/they/it as my pronouns. I know it's a sudden thing but I'm genderfluid so please use my preferred pronouns." I said. "I will and thank you for letting me know. I accept you but how long have you had this problem?" He asks. "Um my power? I've had it since I was born but I haven't had anyone to help me control it because I don't have any parents." I reply. He frowned. Guess I just made this all depressing. "How many people know about your powers?" He questions trying to change the mood. "3 people but hey haven't told anyone. My neighbor Ms Willows and my best friends Mya and Vera. They're the only people who know. My best friends have helped me to calm down when my power gets out of control but they don't know how to help me when it comes to controlling it." I reply hoping that he doesn't tell me off or anything. He nods as if to say that it's okay. "I can help you but what do I get in return?" He asks. "A new recruit maybe? But I live in Oakland California so I don't know how that's going to work hehe." He answer with a grin. "Okay you will work for me then and you will live with my and my colleague, Wong. He isn't here right now but he will be here later so I will introduce you to him then." He replies with a smile. I'm starting to like his smile. It's so handsome. "As in Eminem?" I question. He laughs and says. "You're funny I'm starting like you Aspen. Well I'll let you explore the house seen as I have somewhere to be but I'll be back later." He says as he stands up and puts one arm out and spins the other and opens a portal. He walks through it, looks back and says "See you later Aspen. Lovely meeting you." and he gives me a smile as the portal closes. 

"W-wait where do I put my damn it too late." I try to say quickly. Well at least he's let me look around as I started to walk around I found some very interesting stuff but as time went on I was getting bored so I went to his living room and took a nap on his sofa.

I got woken by someone. "Hey wake up. Wake up. Who are you?" The mysterious voice said. I slowly opened my eyes and I though it would be Dr Strange but it wasn't. I quickly sat up as I noticed he had some kind of glowing rings around his hands. "Finally you're awake. Now tell me who you are." He said with a sturn voice. "I-I'm Aspen Kauffman. I'm not a bad guy I was talking to your friend Dr Strange and he told me to stay here while he went to do something." I said with a scared voice as I raised my hands in the air. "Please don't hurt me. I'm a good guy I swear." I exclaim. He makes the rings disappear and I slowly lower my hands. "So you're the one who Dr Strange was talking about." He says. He put out a hand. "I'm Wong and I'm sorry for scaring you. I thought you was an intruder." I shaked his hand and said "Oh you're Wong and it's fine I understand." I reply as I stop shaking his hand. "Do you know when Strange is coming back?" I asked. "I'm not sure but I'm sure he will be back soon." He replies. I fear that he might not want to help me after all. "He will come back. From what I heard he really wants to help you. Follow me I'll show you around and tell you anything you want to know that might make time go by." Wong reassured and starts to walk and I follow after him. The house had so many incredible things in it and it had a big library with spells in it.

As time went on it started to turn to night and Wong made dinner and he showed me where to sleep. Looks like Strange didn't come back. Maybe he might be here in the morning I reassured myself. I got pjs out and got changed I grabbed my headphones to I could listen to some ASMR and I fell asleep.
