DINAH HARDESTY — the older sibling to Sally and Franklin — was usually cast aside in her youth. Sure, her parents were great and all — but they paid more attention to Sally and Franklin, but that was more so a given as he is a paraplegic after all. Franklin was the youngest child which resulted in Dinah becoming closer to him more than her sister. If she had to pick, she would pick Franklin over Sally any day of the week.
BUBBA SAWYER — real name, Jedidiah, was the youngest of the Sawyer family. Nubbins was sort of the middle child along with Chop Top, his twin brother, but Drayton was definitely the eldest of them all. None of them were necessarily nice to him, but he knew it all came from a place of love and protection towards him. Sure, it hurt him — but deep down — he was loved by them all.
THE TRIP — Dinah was dragged by Sally to join them, aka, Sally's friends — so since Dinah knew none of them, she brought Franklin. Yeah, she could tell it annoyed them all — but she didn't care, Franklin was really her only friend, even if he was her brother also. Who knew where the trip would take them?
