They pulled apart as quickly as they had connected, the kiss only lasting a second. Beck's face held no emotion as his hands fell back down to his sides and he stepped back.

He reached behind him, eyes still locked on Dakota, and turned the door knob, swinging the door open, gesturing for Dakota to step out of the bathroom.

He did, eyeing Beck warily on the way past, still no emotion to be found on his facial features.

As Dakota took the first step out into the bedroom where their friends were oblivious to the fact the door had even opened, Beck placed a hand on the small of Dakota's back.

His breath hitched at the touch, thinking back to what had happened just moments before.

Finally, Parker looked up, spotting the hand on Dakota's back, and grinned. Immediately, Beck's hand moved back to his side, not wanting Dakota to feel uncomfortable once more eyes turned their way.

"Hey, lovebirds, what happened in there?" Parker asked, winking at Dakota.

"Shut the fuck up, Parker," Beck laughed, shaking his head. "Nothing happened."

Dakota exhaled the breath he realised he'd been holding in. Parker held his hands up in defence.

"Okay, okay. If you say so, big man. Koda, it's your turn to spin."

"Actually," Beck started. "Dakota and I are leaving."

Dakota turned slightly, looking up at the taller boy and raised an eyebrow. Beck didn't look at him, just smiled at Parker.

"Bro, you're my ride," Parker groaned, not even flinching after hearing Beck's comment.

"Text me when you want picked up, we'll come back to get you," Beck said, nodding his head towards the group, grabbing Dakota's wrist and dragging him towards the door.

"Koda," Parker yelled before the two boys left. He held his thumb up. "You good?"

Dakota nodded. He didn't know where they were going, he just knew he was interested in what Beck was all about.

Dakota stumbled towards Beck's car, only now realising how much he'd had to drink. Beck opened the passenger door for him, helping him up into his jeep.

Dakota slumped into the seat as Beck climbed into the drivers side.

"Where are we going?" Dakota asked, resting his elbow on the centre console, with his chin in his hand, looking up at Beck. God, he looked good from this angle.

Beck laughed, turning his head towards the road as he pulled out from the curb. "You'll have to wait and see."

The boys sat in a comfortable silence, both of their heads racing with the thought of what had happened in the bathroom.

Dakota wasn't gay. Right? Those hands, though, and those eyes.

And that kiss.

He couldn't help but think about what might've happened if the timer hadn't gone off when it did.

He'd never thought about being with a guy. He'd gone through his high school years finding himself looking at girls, but never acting on anything. He had only ever had one girlfriend, but she had broken his heart.

Her name was Cara. They had been dating for six months until Cara got bored and cheated on him with his closest friend at the time. It broke Dakota in more ways than he could have ever imagined.
