You heard a familiar ringing next to you. Glancing to the right and you saw an incoming call coming from the office phone. Despite your overwhelming tiredness, you answered.

"Hi there, this is Gary from Internals. I'm just calling to remind you of your meeting in fifteen minutes. It's nothing bad. I promise!"

You sighed and began to rub your temples. Of course, just the thing I needed today, you thought. It seemed like you had forgotten up until this point. You didn't have much time to mentally prepare yourself for what was coming and began to feel even more stressed.

"Haha! Just a little chat. But don't be late, alright?" Gary continued.

"Just a little chat huh..." you whispered.

"..."
"Uh... are you there?"

"...No" you sarcastically answered.

"..."
"... Oh! Haha. I get it! It's a little Halloween trick!"
"... I dunno if you got the memo, but Tricks and the Japes of a Halloween nature are banned this year."
"On account of last year's "Pumpkin  Blarster" incident, so..."
"... I guess I can let this one slide"

Scoffing silently as you could and shaking your head, the comparison to the effortless joke you had made just now was nothing compared to that. You wondered why they were being so uptight and it made you a little annoyed.

"Get it out of your system before the meeting. I suppose!"
"Alright, alright, I've taken enough of your time! Don't be late! Bye!"

And there was a click.

Twisting your chair back to the computer screen in front of you, there was a yellow sticky note at the bottom that had sloppy handwriting reading 'meeting tomorrow'.

You brought your left hand up to your face and rubbed your eyes sighing. A few more hours of this and you could finally go home.

Rising up and feeling a bit nauseous you decided to spend a few more minutes checking everything on the floor to clear your mind.

Michael, your co-worker a few cubicles to your right was working in right now. Walking over to him, the only thing you discovered was his confusion for charts.

"Maybe... if I look at this chart upside down... it'll make more sense..."

He didn't notice your presence.

"Hm... ... ... nope!"

Seems like you should leave him alone for now. Not like you'd know anything either.

You made your way to the middle of the office and heard an unpleasant voice. Jackson was calling you over, again.

Approaching him, he turned his body to you and shouted.

"Hey! You! Your buddy gave me this USB yesterday... told me I could use it to play CSGO free steam no drm, so I plugged it in and now my computer only does this! ... That's NOT CSGO."

You looked over at his screen and saw a bright blue error screen. Yeah, this computer is definitely not going to make it.

You thought of an excuse to not anger him even more.

"... I think it's just installing a patch, give it a few more minutes." You told him.

He glanced over to his screen and back to you again.

"Oh... yeah, you're probably right. Thanks, kid. Here take the USB, Josiah said he didn't need it back, so I guess you can keep it if you want." He said while handing you the USB.

Looking at the USB in your hand, it was no wonder that the one behind this was Josiah. The only one with the basic knowledge on computers and the only one who would pull something like this, you laughed to yourself while walking away from Jackson.
