When Daniel Ramirez was ten years old, he decided that a normal life for children isn't what God had planned for him -- because his parents always told him God had a plan for him, and without that, he'd be nothing. It was at ten years old that his father left, and it was at ten years old that he had to begin taking care of his little brother. At that moment, any source of normalcy he could feel had just shattered.
It was at ten years old he'd given up on love and anything that came along with it -- he knew he'd never get the type of love many other people his age would get. Pushing away from people definitely didn't help his thoughts on this either. A self-proclaimed genius, he doesn't see the point of getting too close to people if they'll just leave.
That is, until he joins the school's glee club and meets people who become special to him. More special than he ever expected, or wanted.
