The voice came from upstairs. I looked up, and saw her making her way down to us.

"When did you get here Rabiya?" I asked.

"Just a while ago." Rabiya replied.

Zak looked mad. Really mad. And I knew just exactly why...

"Rabiya, you don't even know how to respect someone?" Zak said aggressively.

"Maybe if they respected me, I will too." Rabiya snapped.

"Shut it, Rabiya. You are uninvited here. This is my house."

"Actually, I am invited. I came to complete a senior-junior group project with sister Aleena." Rabiya said quite smugly. She sure did always find a way to answer back Zak.

Zak just looked straight up done at this point.

In a really cold yet aggressive tone, Zak said, "You know Rabiya, I think it's best that you leave right now. Because I really want to punch you in the face, and I wouldn't hesitate to disfigure it completely."

I was in shock. Rabiya's mouth gaped.

"Ya, Zak! How could you say that? That's too much!" I yelled.

"Then ask her, to, Leave.This.House. I do not, ever, ever! want her to come to this house, ever again! Go take your stupid project ELSEWHERE!" Zak shouted angrily in return.

I knew well that Zak was being serious. When they first started being rude to each other, I just thought it's probably because they liked each other but hid it...but soon, I knew I was very much wrong.

Zak and Rabiya hate each other to the guts, and they never get along. Once Zak almost threw his hot cup of tea at her when he was annoyed by her, but I was able to stop that fortunately. But Rabiya, sure does always seem annoyed with Zak too. These two just never want to give a chance to each other.

Rabiya looked a bit distraught. "Sorry Zak, but perhaps if you would just-"

"Just SHUT UP! Shut the heck up, and leave, RIGHT NOW!" Zak cut her off abruptly.

Shock was written all over Rabiya's face. She looked like she was about to cry. She turned to me and said, "Assalamu Alaikum, Saf. Tell sister Leena we can continue the project tomorrow, maybe." And she rushed out of our home immediately.

I felt bad for her. This time she was actually about to apologise to Zak, which she never really does. But Zak was too frustrated this time to give her a chance.

Zak plopped down onto the sofa and stared at his entwined fingers for a long while, until I broke the silence.

"Why do you guys hate each other so much?" I asked a bit nervously.

Zak gave me a death glare. He looks so intimidating when he does that, goodness. He stood up quickly and began to walk away. The he stopped.

"It's a long story," He said over his shoulder and continued to make his way into his room, and slammed the door shut. I felt like I made a grave mistake, as his glare seemed like he was asking "how could you not know something so obvious?". Just then, Leena came down the stairs. Her eyes were glued to the ground. She then stopped right next to me.

"I heard everything, and saw it too." She whispered.

This...was not good. Well, it isn't like it is extremely bad but, Leena is just...kinda sensitive to these things. She cares for Zak and me a lot, even Rabiya. She cares for everyone a lot. I can't even imagine just how hurt Leena must be right now...

"Leena-" I started.

"I'm sure they'll get along well Saf. Don't worry, okay? They'll be good friends, or at least just get along well." She said smiling. That smile of her hid so much of sadness underneath it.
