-------------- Training grounds -----------------

"Be a little quick, would you, Boruto?"

"I'm trying Sensei! It's not my fault that Sarada has the Sharingan and Mitsuki is literally a snake!"

"Hey! Mitsuki isn't a snake and please stop being jealous of my Sharingan!"

Mitsuki watched the argument with amusement and Konohamaru facepalmed. This had been going on ever since their team was formed. Mitsuki was the most cooperative member and Sarada was trying her best but Boruto...

Boruto Uzumaki was everything his father wasn't – rude, bashful, arrogant, and impulsive. Getting him to cooperate with the other two was becoming a little hectic. Konohamaru had tried all his best ways to make him behave but all in vain!

"You look like you need help"

He turned around on hearing the voice and found none other than Sasuke Uchiha standing there.

"So, that obvious?"

"Yes, to be honest, you look like you've been to hell and back"

"Something like that!"

Sasuke turned towards the kids and found his daughter in a heated argument with junior Uzumaki. He sighed. It was just like with him and Naruto. No cooperation whatsoever.

"Hey, I'm glad you are here. I've been sensing something wrong for a few days"

"So you did sense it! I'm impressed"

Konohamaru instinctively smiled at that compliment and shook his head.

"Ever since we started training, someone had been watching us"

"That person is still here. Stay here and make no noise!"

"Oi SASUKE!"

Naruto came running and screaming.

There goes making no noise.

"Baka" Sasuke muttered under his breath.

"Sasuke! I'll help you train them"

On hearing his father's voice, Boruto turned and saw both Naruto and Sasuke there. He immediately ran towards them.

"Dad! Mr. Sasuke!"

"Your son is as loud as you, usuratonkachi"

"Don't say it like it's a bad thing, Dattebayo!"

All of a sudden, Sasuke's Sharingan activated.

"Naruto, after me!"

Without wasting a second, Naruto went after Sasuke, towards the forest. However, he wasn't the only one who followed.

Boruto, being as impatient as he was, went after them, ignoring his teammates and Konohamaru calling after him.

And surely, a hooded man was running away, having been caught by the Sharingan. However, what shocked Naruto was the cloak he was wearing. Sasuke seemed to have noticed it too.

"Akatsuki!"

"But how?!"

Sasuke abruptly threw his blade at the man and it caught his rope and attached it to a tree. The man thrashed around, not having anticipated the move of the Uchiha. Tired of the struggle, he ripped his cloak free. But, before he could run, Sasuke used his Rinnegan and switched places with his blade. He grabbed him but the man vanished, leaving a log in his place. Boruto and Naruto reached there but found Sasuke angrily staring at a log. Boruto, however, saw something else. A dark red scroll was lying there, conveniently hiding near the tree, in the bushes. The man must've dropped it. In the haste to look smart in front of his dad, he grabbed it quickly and started opening it. Before he could, Sasuke grabbed his hand and tried to take it from him, accidentally opening it in the process. A blinding flash of light enveloped them and it was gone as soon as it came. They were standing in the exact same spot.

"We are fine! What a useless scroll!"

"You think it's a bad thing we're ok?"

Boruto raised an eyebrow at his question and Sasuke sighed.

"Definitely Naruto's son. Let's go."

As they reached the end of the forest, they arrived at the training ground which...

"HAAAA!! WHY DOES THIS GROUND LOOK LIKE THIS?!"

Sasuke slapped his hand over the blond's mouth and hid behind a tree.

"Hey! Mr. Sasuke what is wrong with you?!"

Sasuke pointed towards the ground where a whole bunch of kids had assembled.

But Boruto's attention was caught by his father, who for some reason, looked different.
