Part 2

Y/n's pov:

1st person pov:

After a few months working at the Jeffersonian after what happened at Christmas, we both ended up becoming very, very, close friends. And I had began to think that I had feelings for Zack.

We were currently working on the case about the about a woman whom was found in a garden; "hey y/n" oh hey zack! What's up? I said as looking down, examining the lower torso. "I've got something for you." Oh really? Well I have something for you too. I said jokingly. As I handed him a piece of an artificial knee cap. "Oh wow I'm flattered." He said sarcastically. I bursted out laughing as he handed me the skull. "Well I've got to run, are we still going to the diner for lunch?" Zack said as he was heading out of the bone room. "Yeah of course." I said still examining the remains.

Time skip to lunch time

I was sitting re-reading the case file, when I noticed Zack come through the front door of the diner and came up to sit in front of me. "Re-viewing the case file?" "Yeah maybe there's something here we missed." I sighed closing the file and placing it in front of me. "Can I see you're notes?" Sure I said bluntly and began to eat what I had ordered. When all of the sudden Zack says "y/n, can I ask you a personal question?" "sure go ahead." "Would you like to- perhaps like to.." "to what?" I said curiously "to..go the park together after work.?" "Like a date?" I say questioningly, "I guess like a date.." Zack said rather shyly "Then sure I would be honored to~" I said with a wink. Then took a sip of my (favorite drink).

Zack's pov:

1st person pov:

Hmm it seems hodgins advice might have actually helped me this time. I'll thank him later. The good news is I'm glad y/n actually accepted my offer.. More or less..

I'll go ask Angela want to do next for my "date" with y/n. Since I don't know much about dates other than what her and hodgins have gave me advice on. I hope y/n feels this strange way I do when I'm around her. I feel like my heart is going to burst out of my chest everytime I'm with her. She's so.. Indescribable.. Her smile, laugh, everything about her is so... Amazing. All of my other past relationships all said the same thing, "you're too realistic, too blunt, too.. You" it made me upset everything hearing it but I feel with y/n it will be different.. She's like no other I've ever met, every since we were all stuck together in the lab for Christmas. She and I have a connection like no other, she appreciates my knowledge as I do with hers. I appreciate her company so much.. I don't know what I would do without her. She's just-

Y/n's pov:

1st person:

"Hellooo? Zack?" I snap my fingers once or twice to try and get his attention. "Oh uh yes? Sorry I was just-"
"Day dreaming?" I say jokingly with a small giggle. "I suppose you would call it that." Zack chuckled as waved down a waitress to order his usual drink and meal. "Heh so what were you thinking about?~" I said with a smirk placed on my face "I-" Zack just started at you with a plank expression on his face "uh you know just about the case." He said after a few seconds of just plain starting into space. "Oh okay" I say quite blunt not expecting him to react the way he did.

Suddenly my phone rings

"Shoot I've got to go zack, Dr. Brennan wants me to finish up my notes back at the lab immediately" I start to get up from my chair and place a few dollars on the table before quickly making my way out "I- okay bye y/n-" zack said quite surprised "bye zack!-" I said making my way out the door of the diner.

Zack's pov:

1st person:

I- I didn't know what to say after that... To be honest I wasn't expecting her to just leave like that but I know how Dr. Brennan can get if things don't get done immediately. So I understand it wasn't y/n's fault. WAIT- NO! The reality just hit me like a train as I didn't even set up a time for the date- *sigh* I put my face in my hands before thinking.. Wait! I'll just ask her when we'll examine the remains together. I gave a cold sigh of relief as I got up also leaving my payment for the food on the table and made my way back to the lab to talk to Hodgins and Angela.

*Back at the lab*

3th person:

Zack went straight to Angela and Hodgins whom happen to be together at the perfect time. Zack explains to them his dating worries and they were able to calm him down, reassuring him it'll turn out just fine. Meanwhile y/n was all the way in the bone room finishing up her notes about the set of remains and the cause of death. Zack eventually makes his way to y/n asking her if after the case is solved they can go on their little date. Naturally you says of course, but without giving Zack a little peck on the cheek before going back to writing you're notes. Zack leaves with his face redder than ever and of course explaining what just accorded to Angela and hodgins. Them obviously shipping you two, they go ballistic telling Zack everything he should do on your guys date later on and giving him all of these tips. You at some point were walking to Angela's computer lab and overheard the conversation they were having. You were surprised but then knew what you were going to do, as you had come up with a mischievous plan ;)

Y/n's pov:

1st person:

"It appears that the victim had withstanded some major injuries to her hands and lower ankles, as if she had been bound together. Do you agree Zack?" I said looking up at him to see he was already looking at me. I blushed slightly noticing his gaze go back to the remains. "I concur, it appears to seem as if she was placed at her side for quite some time." Zack said as he suddenly cleared his throat " uh y/n do you remember the "date" we have set.." "Yes I do, why is there something the matter?" I say with concer he might change his mind "err.. Would you like to go out after this case is over?." Zack said quite embarrassed "I assumed that was when it would take place originally, so yes! I would love to.~" I said with a hint of mischief in my voice

*after the case was over and solved*

Y/n's pov:

1st person:

Me and Zack were both walking out of the jeffersonian, I had decided to make the first move. "So.. I was thinking we could talk while making our way to the park." I said with slight nervousness in my voice. "Sure what do you want to talk about." Zack replied rather smoothly hmm I could tell he took Angela's advice and Hodgins as well. "Hmm I don't know, what do you want to talk about?~" I said "well how about.. You?" Zack said shooting me a grin I smiled back at him locking my arm with his as we made our way to the park rather peacefully.

*at the park*

Y/n's pov:

1st person:

"Well that was a nice walk." I said lovingly "I concur" Zack said laughing I laughed back as well it was a bit of an inside joke between us. "Y/n.. I want to admit something to you.." Zack said now breathing quite heavily "I've known you for a bit now and I don't doubt we have a very strong connection.. And I was hoping you would feel the same way about that." "I do Zack and I don't doubt it either.." I said now looking up at his perfect brown eyes as he started down at mine "I wanted to ask you if-, if you would be pleased to be my girlfriend..." Zack finally said looking to the side as he blushed just saying it. "Yes Zack I would be honored to be called you're girlfriend." I smiled up at his as I wrapped my arms slowly around his neck as he then focuses on me. He slowly puts his hands just slightly on my hips as I lean closer to his face. Now inches apart with our noses now touching I finally feel his soft pink lips press onto mine. "Finally" I thought as we pulled away every so slightly. I looked at him straight in the eyes as he did the same. Then we intern locked our kiss once more. At last..

Bonus ending!!

3th person:

Angela and Hodgins had actually followed Zack and y/n to the park to witness first hand their beautiful future together. "Quick take a picture!!" Angela whispers trying to be quiet as they were both hiding behind a bush near by. "I'm trying!" Hodgins whispers back as the camera clicks then prints out a photo of Zack and y/n kissing "I knew it!!" Angela leaps out as she takes the photo from Hodgins to show y/n tomorrow.

(A/n!! AHHHH THAT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL 😭😭 ughh I wish I could make it longer but that's all for today's reading folks!! That was so amazing lol I can't believed Angela and Hodgins followed them to the park but yet again they totally would follow them realistically speaking so 😏)
