The most beautiful girl I had ever seen was making her way across the field towards the big white house. I was stunned, she had grey sweatpants on, massive black sweater, that went down to her knees and covered her hands (which was actually quite adorable) and a white tank-top on. Her dirty blonde hair was pulled up into a very messy bun, and she was walking with pink mug filled with coffee.

"Hey," Annabeth put her hand on my shoulder, "Whatcha looking at?"

She followed my stunned gaze to the beautiful girl and let out a low whistle.

"Good luck buddy, that girls a tough one." she patted my shoulder.

"Wh-what? Why? Wh-Who is she?" I stuttered out, watching her climb up the steps and enter the house.

"That's Abira. She lives here all year round, like you now. She's, well, an interesting girl. Very, um, instinctual. Very confusing when you first get to know her."

"Uh," is the only thing I was able to get out.

Annabeth laughed, "Your just like Percy. Now, come on, I want you to meet Chiron."

I nodded, not wanting to make more of a fool of myself. I followed Annabeth down the hill and to the big house. I was thinking about the girl Abira, she was still in what I assumed her pajamas. I looked at my watch. It read 11:10. So, she slept late? We reached the house and I walked up the creaky steps, which had been originally white, but were very worn and the paint had been chipped off in the middle, showing a dirty brown color. We walked across the porch, which went to the end of each outside, and there was an assortment of hanging benches, wicker chairs, and old wooden chairs. We sat down on a hanging bench with a faded blue and white striped cushion and waited. Suddenly the girl, Abira, walked out and looked at us. I watched her face light up when she saw Annabeth.

"Annabeth! How are you?!" She said in a cheerful, but sleepy tone.

She walked over to the bench we were sitting on, put her coffee down, and helped Annabeth get her pregnant belly off the bench. I quickly stood up as they hugged. That's when I realized that she was actually quite short. I would say about 5'5 or 5'6. They let go and then she realized that I was just awkwardly standing there.

"Hi, I'm Abira!" she said in a voice that was quite high actually, but not annoyingly.

"Um, hi, I'm John."

"John just got here, he's a Hathaway brother." Annabeth explained.
