The Adventure Kids in A Dolphin's Sequel

Chapter 7

Shortly after that, the Akids headed on over to the restaurant and grill next door with Hazel as they had something important to do last minute. The Wild Kratts were already there, along with some of the aquarium's staff and a bunch of other people. 

"Oh, good. You guys are here" Martin was putting up a sign, telling the kids. "We're almost done with everything"

Zoboo laughed while helping bring in some balloons. "This is going to be so much fun! Whoo ha ha!"

Meanwhile, Sawyer had just left the aquarium and was heading on home when Lorraine surprised him outside. She said she had just seized this craving for the food at the restaurant next door, asking if they could grab a bite to eat. Sawyer agreed. 

Back at the restaurant, everyone was making some last minute preparations when Brock spotted Sawyer and Lorraine pull up in their car. 

"Here they come!" Brock warned. 

"Get ready everyone!" Kali said. 

Everyone quickly got in their positions while Teeders turned off the lights. Lorraine and Sawyer then walked in. 

"Good" Lorraine said once they entered. "Not too crowded"

"How can you tell?" Sawyer asked his mom. "It's so dark"

Suddenly the lights came on and a crowd of people all shouted. "Surprise!"

It turns out Lorraine and all of Sawyer's friends had arranged a surprise going-away party for Sawyer's assumed participation in the SEA Semester. Everyone had come to show their support including the Akids, Hazel, Reed, the Wild Kratts, and all the staff from the aquarium. 

Soon everyone was celebrating and hanging out on the dance floor. David was even on DJ. 

"This party is great!" Ann said while dancing with her twin. 

"Yeah!" Brock took a bite of cake. "Never pass up on a free meal!" 

Sawyer was going around with Kyle while everyone was congratulating him. 

"When do you guys leave?" Koki asked them. 

"The 23rd" Kyle told them. "We're on the noon flight out of Tampa"

"I can't even imagine how excited you must be right now" Aviva smiled to Sawyer. 

"We're really proud of you" Martin told Sawyer. 

"We just know you're going to rock that SEA Semester" Chris added. 

"Horray for Sawyer!" Zoboo cheered. 

Sawyer eventually went off to have some time to himself. That's when Dr. McCarthy arrived and gifted him with a very old watch that needed to be tapped ever so often in order to keep ticking. This of course led to a very important lesson for Sawyer as McCarthy encouraged him to "shake it up now and then" in this big world in order to move forward. And that there were too many opportunities out there to spend your life in a box. No matter how nice the box is. 

"Let me hear you make some noise!" David shouted while on DJ. 

Everyone cheered and continued partying while the Akids were shown at the food table having some cake. 

"Such a nice turnout" Teeders mentioned while eating her slice of cake. 

"Yeah" Kali nodded. 

"Shows how much people love that boy" Cynthia said. 

But the kids all soon fell silent and frowned, thinking about Winter as they hadn't told anyone yet about her transfer order. They started to wonder if there was anything... Anything that could help their beloved dolphin friend now...
