Chapter: 9

(Thalia)

This was it, the battle of Manhattan, against Kronos. The gods were too busy fighting Typhoon, and we were left defending Olympus, Ethan and Nico went to the river of Styx where Ethan took a dip in. And I was his Anchor to stay alive in there. Leo was preparing traps around the Empire state building with of course the help of his half siblings like Charlie, Nyssa and Jake. Piper, Silena and Drew were last minute practising their charmspeak. The Hermes cabin were shoplifting a bunch of supplies. Apollo cabin was scouting the surrounding area, the Ares cabin stayed on watch. Athena and Demeter cabin went and took mortals aside, because they all fell asleep, the hunters who came and helped were surrounding the area, Kronos knows that they're strong and it won't be easy getting through them.

Then Ethan came in with Mrs O'Leary, "where's Nico?" Bianca demanded. "He's still in the underworld, he's trying to convince your father to help the rest of the gods, and he needs your help" Ethan explained. Bianca nodded as she shadow travelled out. I looked around for Percy. I found him talking to Clarisse La Rue head counsellor of the Ares cabin, Grover weaved his way through to me. "Hey Grover" I smiled weakly. "Yeah, I'm scared too" Grover hugged me. Ethan walked over to me and gave me a kiss, Grover ran off to find Calypso who was in the mall. "Everything is going to be fine Chris is our spy remember, we know Kronos or Luke's Plan" Ethan assured me. I was grateful to have a boyfriend like him. It'll be scary if something happens to me, because he would want to get revenge he won't stop until he got it, he's mother is Nemesis after all.

(Percy)

I took a deep breath, after my talk with Clarisse I decided to help the Apollo campers scout the area. I ran up to Will Solace. "Hey man!" "Hey" replied the fourteen-year-old, "you okay?" "Yeah, I'm fine" Will nodded gravely. "It's going to be okay, I promise" I smiled putting my hand on his shoulder. "DEMIGODS SURRENDOR NOW!" Kronos yelled as he and his Army approached. I ran to Thalia; the hunters drew out their weapons along with us. "LUKE! PLEASE YOU CAN FIGHT IT!" Annabeth shouted, she was standing in the middle of the hunters. "Puny hunter, the son of Hermes...." Then his eyes suddenly turned from golden to brown then to golden again. "Luke's fighting" I whispered to Thalia. "Piper, Silena and Drew use your charmspeak to make Luke fight Kronos out of him" Thalia ordered, high enough for the trio to hear but low enough for Kronos not to hear. "LUKE FIGHT KRONOS!" the Aphrodite Trio screamed. Again Golden to Brown and back to Golden, they tried again, it didn't work. "Charmspeak doesn't work with him" Silena stated.

I drew out my Riptide, "then we have no option but to fight" I said. The Camper's nodded in agreement. Then Chris sneaked back to our side. "He's going to use Ethan; he needs Ethan to be in his side" Chris whispered to me making sure Ethan nor Thalia hears. "Why would he want Ethan I whispered back. "I don't know" Chris shrugged. "Traitor!" Kronos exclaimed pointing to Chris. "Hah do you really think I'd let you destroy my home?" Chris growled. "Olympus isn't your home" Kronos indicated. "You'd go after Camp Half-Blood right after, That Camp is my home" Chris sneered. "I will not, I will make a better place for you all, now step aside" Kronos demanded, "or else face the wrath of my army, you are outnumbered" A bunch of campers wavered. "Quality is better than quantity" I reminded them. That's when Chiron decided to show up with the Party ponies.

(Ethan)

"Ethan" Kronos smiled ignoring his son Chiron's appearance. I raised my sword higher, I looked at Percy, and he looked worried. Thalia squeezed my hand that all I needed. "What do you want?" I glared at the titan god. He raised his hand and no one was moving except me and Kronos. I looked at Thalia, she stood there frozen, and I placed one hand on her cheek. "Do you really think she loves you" Kronos said. I creased my eyebrows, I turned to face him. "She's deceiving you, she's using you for her own well" Kronos taunted. "Thalia would never do that" I growled. Does she really love me? Shut up Ethan, Kronos is tricking you, but .... Does she? UGGH! Stop it, she loves me and I love her. "Are you sure?" Kronos smiled wickedly, "I can end it, you know let me help you we can destroy all these Puny Half- gods, I can leave Thalia and Percy under your wrath" Ethan I could hear Thalia's voice in my head please, I love you, don't listen to Kronos, I'm trying not too "what do you say?" Kronos crinkled up his nose. "Luke I know you can hear me, you need to fight him, please come on" I pleaded, the Time barrier finally lifted and Kronos was falling down to the ground. Thalia grabbed me and kissed me.
