'Ding dong'

With a smile, Taehyung opened the door to reveal a cute couple standing there. Hwasa laughed and hugged him, while Namjoon just smiled.

"Wahh--we finally met after such a long time. Come on in " Taehyung said as the other two walked in with a grin and sat on the couch.

"Where is Jungkook?" Namjoon asked about his friend's whereabouts. "Well, he is in the loo and will be back in a minute-"

"Oh, Joon, you are here!" As he left the room, looking fresh as ever, Jungkook said . "Shit Noona! We finally met after such a long time."

"That is because you did not show up for our last get-together, dumbo" Hwasa smacked his back and laughed before hugging him. Taehyung smiled at them, not jealous because they were only cousins and nothing more.

"We should eat dinner now. Kookie get the wine!" Taehyung nudged, and Jungkook nodded as they all made their way to the dining room.

Taehyung went into the kitchen to fetch the food, and jungkook was filling each glass with wine as Namjoon and Hwasa sat on the chair.

Very soon, each dish was presented, and soon laughter and giggles could be heard throughout the entire table.

"All right Joon, pay attention. Tomorrow, we must investigate Misoo's friends and question those involved with Moon."

"But Jungkook, we have already interrogated the people who were involved with him. We need to look into the people who were close to previous victims and-"

"Oof Joon, just shut up. Could you both set aside your work for a little while?" Taehyung quickly agreed after Hwasa spat.

"I agree. Jungkook, this dinner was a break from our usual routine to refresh our minds. Remember that" Taehyung said sternly, prompting Jungkook to nod like a cute puppy.

"So, when are you two getting married?"

"I think we will look up to that next year" Namjoon asked, making Hwasa blush.

"We are both very busy with our jobs at the moment" she explained, and Namjoon agreed.

The three of us laughed at his adorableness as the blonde haired guy squealed, "I can not wait to see you guys together officially."

September 22,
12:30 p.m.

With a sigh, Jungkook turned to face the three teenagers in front of him, who appeared anxious because of his intimidating demeanour.

"See, do not be scared of me. I will not beat you up unless you lie to me" the cop said, trying to sound convincing, but it only made matters worse.

"O-okay, sir" they said as Jungkook opened a file and pulled out a photograph, which he placed in front of the three people.

"I presume you three are Kim Misoo's friends?" He inquired, and they half-nodded.

"When was the last time you saw her?" Jungkook enquired

"Well, two days prior to all of this, we met. She seemed h-happy" Samantha commented.

"Hmm. What about that other guy...Moon? They were both in a relationship."

"She broke up with him because she was in love with another man. That is why she asked us to meet her on that particular day. She appeared...obsessed." Jay spoke.

"So when the heck were you guys going to let me know? after another innocent person is killed? Really guys, we could have caught the murderer by now if you had disclosed all of this the other day." Jungkook raged.

"Sir, we were afraid, and our university's instructors advised us to just respond to the question without providing any more details in order to avoid getting into trouble with the law." Woojung nervously stated.

Jungkook shook his head and grunted before telling them to leave, but not before asking them a few more questions.

Then he contacted those who had known the previous victims. They assured him that they were all well and happy, and they had no idea that they would be murdered.

He was sitting with Moon's friend Eric now. The friend was unable to meet Jungkook's gaze and appeared uneasy.

"How did Moon behave after splitting from Misoo?" He enquired.

"Well, he seemed odd. His mood swings seemed to be on another level. He used to beat people out of anger, then cry the next moment. I attempted to assist him, but he grew aloof" Eric mumbled.

With a nod, Jungkook arranged three pictures in front of him. "This is Ammie, this is Mia, and the last one is Cherry."

"And?"

"These girls are dead, and I am pretty sure your best friend has something to do with it. Tell me now, how did Moon find out about them?"

Eric gulped loudly as his eyes grew wide before he turned back to the photos. "Back in high school, Moon had a thing for M-mia. When he discovered that the girl was in love with someone else, he was devastated.

"What about Ammie and Cherry, then?" Asked Jungkook.

"Well, in high school, Ammie was his best friend. They were getting along pretty well until one day they got into a heated argument and parted ways. And Cherry...well they were both step-siblings."

"Did Moon fuck her as well?" Jungkook laughed at his joke but paused when Eric frowned at him.

"They were not on good terms. Cherry used to verbally and physically abuse him. Cherry's father, however, found out about her deed and expelled her after Cherry's mother passed away. Moon's mental state was never stable. His heart is so scarred that any attempt to mend it would only cause more damage."

After hearing their conversation, Jungkook grinned triumphantly and got up to meet Namjoon in the adjacent room.

With a proud smile, he slammed the door and said, "See another reason why Moon killed these girls. We can simply arrest him and poof! Case closed."

"We can not just arrest Moon on these theories, Jungkook. Don't talk nonsense." Namjoon said, rolling his eyes. "We need solid evidence or we will lose the case in court."

Jungkook paused and considered for a moment,

'Namjoon is correct, we need some solid evidence.'

"But how are we going to get evidence?" Jungkook was curious.

"We need to find the guy these girls are crazy about. I believe we can get some information from him"

"I guess so, yeah."
