"This is Jean Williamson, from Channel 12 News!"

The reporter yelled into her microphone as explosions burst around them in a parking lot.

Glitter and smoke surrounded the cameraman and reporter. " As you can see, a massive battle has started between several supervillains and our own two superheroes, Rex and Roxanne Remarkable!"

"The super siblings seem to be winning against the villains, but I'm not sure."

Then she laughed.

"Oh wait, I am sure. The Remarkables have defeated these 'supervillains' time and time again!"

Suddenly a booming voice spoke. "Hey! Just because we're super villains doesn't mean we don't have feelings!"

A car flew into the air, and began its descent towards the reporter.

Before it crunched her, a man in blue grabbed the car in midair, and set it down gently.

"Jean, are you all right?" He asked, his handsome face full of worry.

Jean blushed. "We're fine, Mr. Remarkable. Thank you." He nodded, gave his perfect smile, and flew back into the fray.

"You'll pay for that, Circus Strongman!" He yelled, and charged the car thrower. He was inches away, but then he froze. "Not if you fall into my trap, Mr. Remarkable!"

A young woman laughed, and a machine grew out of the ground. She cheered at her success.

"You've trapped yourself in my speed snare. Since you fly so impossibly fast, I built a machine that can trap you at that impossible speed!"

As he grunted and groaned, she laughed and adjusted her glasses.

"The faster you go, the tighter my trap gets."

"Imaginator! Of course you would come up with such a devious and sinister plot!" He yelled.

"Aww, you flatter me, but did you just call me Imaginator?" She adjusted her glasses again. "Everyone knows that I changed my name to Trap Queen!"

The battle stopped.

"I think that is a bad name." Circus Strongman whispered.

"Of course it's a bad name! I am a villain!" She stamped her foot and readjusted her glasses.

"No, no, no. Not an evil name, just a rather stupid name." A villain called Charmer rolled his eyes.

"You must be more in your true character, similar to yours truly. Embrace your inside!" He gestured to his glittery gold and black velvet costume, and his half-gold, half-black mask.

She just groaned.

"Fine! I'll change it! How about... Hmm...The Plotter!"

Charmer sighed. "Very well, it cannot be worse than 'Imaginator' or 'Trap Queen'." "Whatever your name is, you cannot keep Justice imprisoned!" Mr. Remarkable closed his eyes.

"What's he doing?" The Dragonfly yelled.

Ms. Remarkable smiled. "He's stopping."

"Stopping what?" A villain called Disco asked.

The Plotter stopped laughing and her eyes widened. "He's slowing down! If he doesn't move, he'll be free!"

"Then stop him!" screamed Nausea.

Meanwhile, Roxanne blocked a punch from Circus Strongman and threw him across the parking lot. Then she kicked Dragonfly in the gut, threw him at Disco, and the two crashed into a Jeep. Then she flew after Charmer. Nausea ran towards The Plotter.

"Do something! Before he escapes!" She yelped.

The Plotter turned around. "I-I can't. We must make a tactical retreat." When Strongman, Disco, and Dragonfly rose to their feet, Nausea pointed at the subway station. They nodded, except Disco, who rolled his eyes. Charmer noticed their escape, and led Roxanne away. "Aw, you almost got me that time, Foxy Roxy." He gave a dazzling smile as she flew at him again. He ducked and whipped his cape like a matador. "Ole!" Then she looked behind her and realized that the rest of the villains had escaped.

"You cannot escape truth and liberty!" She turned back around and Charmer was gone, leaving behind a glittery message. Farwell, fair maiden Until we meet again. She walked back towards her brother, who escaped the trap.

They stood in the parking lot alone with Channel Twelve.

LATER...

"That was close, Charmer." Plotter sighed. Charmer put his head in his hands. "I am afraid I must confess that today was supposed to be the day."

The six villains were all upset, and on a subway. No one else was on it, except an old lady who was knitting a sock. All six stared at the lady, who chuckled.

"Oh my. Have I interrupted something?" She asked sweetly.

Charmer squinted. "You are no old lady." She smiled. "What gives you that ridiculous idea?" She asked kindly.

He smiled sweetly. "Because you're not knitting correctly." She wasn't. Her hands fiddled, and the sock just flopped to the ground.

She sighed. "I suppose you are correct, young man." Then, in a flash of golden light, a woman in a purple costume smiled at him.

"I've heard of your skills of seeing through illusions, but this is amazing, maybe even... remarkable."

She grinned as they all sulked.

"Relax. I'm here to help. I have a way of defeating them."

The group scowled.

"No offense, fair shape-shifter, but I do not trust you." Charmer crossed his arms.

"I can guarantee my plan can take both of them down." She said proudly.

Disco snickered. "Sure, go right ahead. What're you going to do, change into an old lady and whack them with your purse?"

"You have the right mindset, Disco. What if Ms. Remarkable committed crimes in broad daylight?"

They all looked at each other in surprise.

"Okay, I see how you can ruin her image." Nausea started. "But that doesn't take care of her for good, and that still leaves Rex." Disco.

"Here's where I'll need help. Mostly Charmer's. You see, I know where they go to work." She smiled slyly.

Plotter's eyes shot wide.

"How do you know that? They work to keep their identities secret."

"I just do." She started humming. "Here's the plan. Charmer and I go to their jobs and he hypnotizes both of them, causing them to obey his every word, and-"

"Stop right there!" Charmer stood up. "Even if we partner up with a scoundrel such as you, how shall we know if I can even control them? I have already attempted to. The dastardly Rex wears contacts and the fair maiden Roxanne has a mask. And why should we trust you?"

She laughed. "Because I know your secret identities too."

She handed Charmer a card, then mimed a telephone. "Call me when you're ready." She sang, and waltzed out of the subway car. No one tried to stop her.
