To say you were grumpy at the sound of your alarm blaring would be an understatement. You quickly put it to snooze, hoping to let the sweet feeling of sleep wash over you. Unfortunately, the feeling is short lived as your alarm goes off again. If you didn't know any better, you would have thought the alarm was louder than before. You eventually get up, the cold air nipping at your exposed skin making you quickly get dressed. You head down to the kitchen after fixing your hair, making it look neater than it was when you woke up. You make a small meal for you and your roommate before work, brewing some coffee for the both of you as it cooks. The familiar steps of Vanessa sound behind you, a yawn escaping her lips. She hugs you from behind, muttering about how you where warm. A smile spreads across your face, the woman's breath being felt on the back of your neck.

Over the months of knowing Vanessa, the two of you became close. If somebody didn't know any better, they would assume that the two of you were a couple. But no, the two of you have developed a friendship that allowed you both to be very comfortable with each other. to keep it simple, you both have slept together cuddled up to one another one night when the heater broke during a cold night. There were some other situations, but even the mere thought of them causes you to cringe in embarrassment. Though, you will say that the fact that she trusts you as much as she does makes you happy. The coffee finishes, pouring the hot bean juice into two thermoses for both you and Ness. You doctor yours up to be palatable with flavored creamer and take a sip, smiling at the taste. Somehow Ness doesn't add anything to hers, preferring the taste of sadness that is black coffee. You wanted to question her at first but after making coffee for the both of you for the last few weeks you soon realized that if she was going to have anything sweet that she was going to have it in the form of food like cake and brownies. That fact made you smile, especially so when she sheepishly told you that she really liked when you baked. Knowing that your baking was her favorite made your ego soar, making you find more and more things to bake for her. The smile she gets when she comes home to the sweets makes the tiredness you feel worth it, you getting up early in the morning every now and then when she had a bad day at work to bake for her. It was the small things you noticed made her happy, like cleaning and organizing for her when she didn't have time because of work. She returned the favor of making your day a bit brighter by buying you simple little things here and there. She would buy simple things from food you enjoyed to decor for your room.

As time went of you living with Ness, your room started looking like the one you had in your past life, making your homesickness lessen. You had eventually started to help Vanessa with rent and food, seeing as you managed to snag a few part-time jobs to develop a resume. You sent Ashley a little gift for her help with your legal documents, after all she was the reason you were able to get as far as you did in this world. Though, you had to admit you had no idea what to give her at first, the woman had the money to buy almost anything in the world. You settled on baked goods, knowing it would mean more to make something from the heart. She showed her appreciation by sending you a nice necklace, you tried to deny it as she had no need to send you anything back but backing down after being told by your roommate you would not win the gift battle. You quickly learned that she was very stubborn, not taking no for an answer when it came to helping her friends and giving them gifts. One easy example was when Vanessa's birthday came up and she booked a nice spa day for her at a spa in California, flying her out and everything.

Finding yourself in your kitchen after a bit of thinking about the last while made you quickly panic about if you were running late to get to work. The panic faded almost as soon as it appeared when you saw that you were still running good on time. After gathering your last few things, you head to the car, Vanessa following behind after locking the door. The drive to work was quick, having done it before.  The giant building came up into sight, nervousness filling your body as you got closer. You had just gotten a job as a nightguard and was going to be trained to work on the animatronics a little bit for cleaning. Because of this, you had to go in early for the training. Ness was tasked with training you as a nightguard, which would be easily done as she told you that you would just follow her around for a few nights before being able to do things on your own. This was ok with you; the place was massive so having her help would be nice for the first couple of nights. She eventually parked the car, both heading in after locking up the vehicle. You could hear your heart pounding in your ears, brief memories of two animatronics you saw months prior.
